This rainbow power generating windmill is originally designed to light the strips and decorate the yard. Fix it in an open place, and the strip will be lit up with the wind at night. The stronger the wind, the brighter the light strip. But its power is relatively low and can not drive any other electrical devices, nor can it charge the battery.
Most of its parts are DIY by myself, so there will be some imperfections more or less. It can able to withstand super strong winds.It can be fixed to your railings, higher places, or other open areas with the complimentary flange and 4 screws.The strip lights up against the wind, no battery or external power supply is needed.
The use of brushless motor makes the windmill rather durable. The blades are made of anti-aging materials of ASA/PC.
It is rain-proof and age-resistant, and can be used outdoors for a long time. Further, it is noise-free. A wind blowing from any direction can be used efficiently as the tail vane enables the blades adapt themselves to different directions.
It comes with assembly instructions for easy assembly. Be sure to use our matching flange in yellow and fix it with 4 screws to make it be able to withstand strong winds.It needs to be installed in an open area for better performance.

Works as advertised and sturdy if you use the permanent base. We screwed ours to the deck rail and have very high winds here. It has held up perfectly and is fun to watch. Put this together with your child, they will love it. It works really well

This little unit is really very good for teaching about wind energy! 3 phase with rectifier to change it to dc voltage, it produces enough to charge some small batteries. It is sturdy enough for normal wind here in Kansas, but it wouldn’t take a tornado (but it’s not designed to, either!) For the money, it was definitely worth the value. Note: I teach renewable energy at our local college, and even though this was for the wife to play with (she wanted it, no, seriously, this was HER project to start!) it is good enough that I am considering getting a few for simple beginner labs. They just work great.

So many fun after purchased this DIY wind turbine generator, great S.T.E.M gift for kids and unique backyard decoration. Easy to put all the parts together, my 4 years old can help and learn from it. Also have potential to add on your own idea, I added the snow flake LED light myself to welcome the first measurable snow on 2023.
I connected two more led light strings to the wind turbine generator, it still work as usual, super cool watching all strings light up at the same time at windy days.

My kids like it very much! When we go to Chicago my kids saw lots of windmills in the field on the trip. They are very curious about them. That’s why I want to buy a similar thing to show them how it works. This wind generator is easy to assemble, we set up together and they are excited it works! The quality is pretty good, and the rotation is very smooth, no noise!

I found this mini wind turbine very easy to put together. I still have the temporary base on it as I’m planning to move it around to test how much wind it gets in different locations, but I’ve anchored it down with weights over it. I’ve found myself just watching it to see when it catches wind and the lights come on, like it’s my own personal entertainment center. I’ve been considering seeing how well attaching a small battery to it would go, though that would defeat the purpose of using the brightness of the lights to estimate wind speed. Perhaps once I’ve put it in a permanent location and I’m not using it for testing anything I’ll do that.
