I operate two of these. They are substantial, nice casting and white enamel gloss paint. The parts are very well milled and finished and the nylon blades are well suited. This unit is just missing a few things but these would be deluxe items I guess… drop in an extra blade or provide option to buy them. put a leveling bubble at the mount to help set that mount exactly. Add a bracket that matches the mounting bolt pattern (for 4×4 post users). Write up the instructions a little better (for blade assembly and orientation). Other than that I’m sold. I’m going to paint them after a season so that their presence is more obvious to birds. If you use a post make it a perfect piece of Douglas fir and seal it. I plan to swap out the wood for a steel pole as I assume wood will warp enough to trigger vibration. As to operation, they don’t turn for low breeze that scatters direction but once they catch a pretty constant direction breeze, they run on low mph. They really take off for average windy days and they are champs for tree-down no power wind outages, which is why I got them. The charge controllers are nice too and appear to be fully weather resistant. Nice unit.

All parts included, except tool for tightening bolts.

The media could not be loaded.
Tested it under no load at 1800rpm and so far so good.
Bought this to put on my ice shack. I’ll update my review after I get it installed and see how it preforms.
Update. Under the initial test I was able to get a reading of 14 volts. After installing it it seamed not to do much in the way of creating power. It’s so windy I can hear the wind generator brake but still not charging.
The picture of the display is in real time of the generator running in 45km wind under a 100 watt load off 1 12v 120 amp hour deep cycle.
I confirmed the voltage of the battery is consistent with the display.
This leads me to believe this wind generator is not work properly.
Update I checked the output amps coming from the wind turbine. I get a reading of 5 amps. I’m not sure what the output voltage is so can’t calculate how many watts I’m producing. I would have to measure the dc side of the circuit.
Anyway I posted a video, it looks and sounds like the main bearing is shot waiting to hear back if there’s anything they will do for me.
Update. Customer service takes 24 hour to respond to an e mail even if I reply right after they send an e mail. Customer service can’t answer simply questions in regards to the wind generation they are selling. Update. I finally got some a response from customer service. I was given a manual on the charge controller and in the spec it says it’s max output is 14.5v at 15 amps. Using ohms law the max output is 217.5 watts. I confirmed this by measuring this with an ammeter.

Doesn’t come with any wiring or a pole so you’ll have to get those items. Needs to be at least 15 feet plus to make work or a very windy day. Still trying to get ours to be constant.

We like it we are adding it to our solar. It is the perfect size for a small windmill. The blades are nice. We are very happy with it.

Purchased when I had the budget for my build. Installed 6 months after purchase and within hours the bearings sounded like a 1964 Willys CJ6 rear axle with no oil.
Output to my batteries is helpful overnight, but not looking forward to rebuilding it because of its location on my sailboat.
If anyone knows what size bearings it uses so I can buy before hand that would be great. Needless to say I won’t be ordering them from Amazon as I’d prefer NGK, Pfaff, or F.A.G versus country or origin availability.
Update: Well it seems that when bearing wear out you get vibration. Well it seems vibration wears out the hub to shaft connection. Can you say “Pure Garbage”?

Disappointing. I’m not sure that it even works. You’ll need a $130 mount and a $55 piece of rigid steel conduit, not included, if you plan to post mount it like I did. It comes with hardware that is too short to mount the fan blades which means you’ll need to buy (10) 1.5” 1/4 20 bolts to assemble the blades. The instructions that came with it were in Chinese and were for a different model and included no wiring diagrams or further electrical specs. After installing it up on my roof, I have yet to see if spin.

After much work mounting a large pole and wire hook-ups, it only puts out little more than 100 Watts. I watched the meter as the wind blew at different speeds during 5 days with up to 35 – 40 mph. Better off to buy Solar panels for the same money, or save for a generator because this is only for charging cell phones.

Product shipped with hardware that was too short to be useful, after replacing that it seems the trail isn’t large enough to stabilize it and it also takes a pretty good breeze to startup. Can’t imagine it makes any power, I will test after modifying.

It is very good quality. However it doesn’t provide instructions on jow to assemble the electric part of it.
