I mounted this panel on top of my 15ft West Wight Potter sailboat. It happens to fit perfectly on the rails of the sliding top just by coincidence and fits below the boom as well. It works great! Keeps the battery charged while I’m away and recharges it (when sunny) after using my electric motor I use for trolling around when the winds are too low. I mounted the controller on a piece of wood I made to fit in the slot where my door goes so we can keep an eye on the boat’s electrical system voltage and charge our phones off the USBs! Pointed into the Sun I seemingly don’t even loose any volts (holds steady at 11.1 volts with mini-koto motor on fullspeed 5 setting) when running the motor but I haven’t tried that for more than 20 minutes. Even pointed away from the Sun though it still charges the battery! I have it on an angle too but somehow it still works. My battery case (I had from before not part of this kit) also has a volt meter and it matches the controller readout so it’s seemingly accurate within .1 volts. For the price it’s a winner in my eyes. Charges my marine battery to over 13 volts and I’ve even seen above 14 volts when in good Sun and not drawing much off the battery. Installation is easy just drill holes for the included bolts for the brackets and use a small wrench to tighten although hand tight might even work. Panel attaches to brackets with wingnuts that are just hand tightened. Electrical is basically plug and play although you do need a small eyeglass screwdriver to attach the wires to the solar controller. Clamps to connect to the battery are included. The battery itself is not included. Overall a great inexpensive solar option that works better than I anticipated.

my vehicle sits for long periods of time – I don’t go to the office hardly ever and when I do drive to the grocery store, its the 35miles per gallon commuter that I take instead of the 14 mpg weekend warrior truck. Unfortunately, this means that my battery dies after about 30 days due to accessories drawing power like remote starter, antitheft system, etc. I ordered a 10W solar charger that did NOT do the job and the battery still died while connected to it in sunny arizona. I returned that charger and ordered this one. Well, once again my battery didn’t have enough power to start the engine, and instead of jumping to start it, I attached this solar charger and let it sit. After 24 hours the batter once again had enough power to start the engine. Im happy with the power this produces and if left attached, it keeps my batter charged enough for starting – although my neighbors hate me because now I move my car out of the community / guest parking even less since I don’t need to start it as often to re-charge the battery via the alternator 😀

Worked great for my shed lights, Hooked up with a 12-volt gel battery and 140-watt inverter and everything is shining bright… A little smaller than I was expecting but does what I need.

I have been impressed with the voltage coming out of this panel , im charging a single deep cycle and running light in a barn , charges up the battery fully in a day , even 13v on a cloudy day . Now its not a 100 watter , but for simple things , works well . Easy to make a mount for the panel , no mounting help with this kit , controller works and is clear to understand . Happy with it after a couple months

Some things to be aware of: When the battery is disconnected the controller will reset to the default parameters. Out of the box it appears to be setup for a regular car battery. Before you install it, look at a video on setting the controller up for your application as the manual is a little vague.
On a bright day it charged the my battery from 30% up to full. I did get the setting wrong initially and it kept charging with the float voltage going to 16.5V. I disconnected everything and it reset to factory defaults which were correct except that they have the total discharge setting for the load too low. I set it according to the YouTube video so that the total allowed discharge was 50%. The system works very well especially if you look up the recommended angle and direction on the NREL calculator.
