Using them to replace existing “gone bad” panels on my deck post lights. Can’ speak for the long term but I have updated 4 of the 10 originals with two more in the works. The first 4 have been operating very good over the past 2 weeks even with lots of rain and cloud cover. Holes were drilled in the originals to allow wires from the new ones to be connected to the LED and battery charger circuit board. The top was covered in crystal clear epoxy which surrounded the new panel gluing it in place. The end result was a panel with a water shedding convex shape rather then the concave water pool shape of the original panels.

These compact panels deliver more power than expected. I’m using them on some small, homemade solar lights powered by a single AAA NiMH battery (1.25 volts) and they charge them completely in only a few hours. They are well-made and provide easy solder terminals for connection of wiring. Excellent products.

I was nervous about these powering a couple of projects I am working on for kids since it is frustrating to connect a solar panel and then trying to figure out how to get it to work efficently. Even though the requirements were close to the stated supply they worked great just using the light from a lamp.Don’t forget that you have to solder to connections! They don’t come with the wires!

Soldered two together with a diode to prevent backflow and connected to two AA rechargeable batteries — works great as a permanent 3V power source

So it’s not 120mA per solar cell. I haven’t tried it in blazing sun but with good sun it was 30mA at best. Maybe during summer it will be and I’ll adjust my review accordingly but it does hit 3v + with ease. I wired them in parallel and was able to get 400mA if I remember correctly. Still I was hoping for better amperage. It’s all about the intensity of the sun which is about 50,000 lumens on a good day.

I have a security camera that has a solar charger. It was deteriorating in the sun. I replaced with this and now it works like new.
