I really like how Eco Worthy engineered these panels but unfortunately they don’t put out enough power. As others have said in their reviews, on a totally clear day, strong overhead sun, I only could get 65w. I did have almost 80 watts but as the panels heated up, the output was 65 watts. The temperature of the panel was 140° while the outside air temp was 72°. There was space behind the panel for air. I paid $85 which is a reasonable price for a 65w portable panel but I need a better product so I’m returning this one. I’m guessing the reason the price is so low because of the poor performance.

Having researched endlessly youtube vids this product kept coming up as a common name for comparison tests and having faired pretty well and the price when compared to other brands such as Renogy (very good BTW) I decided to try this product as we are intending to off grid just 10-20% of our trips in our caravan. I tried to place into the from window of my Lunar Quasar and whilst in storage (thanks Covid) and felt that the product was very bulky and awkward, the edges of the panel are sharp so take care not to scratch your caravan when putting in place. The main issue I never realised was the supplied crocodile clips really need replacing to use for a battery charger when in storage as my battery / compartment just didn’t have the clearance to feel safe of a good connection. So I opted to cut and splice some Anderson connectors with ring connections and a 10amp inline fuse – looks much better plus gives me the option to use a 5m extension when off grid and using outside the caravan plus still retaining the original crocodile clips which is no brainer win win for me.
I have tried on my battery which when removed was @ 12.4v (still 80% charged) on a very overcast day and the unit pumped 13+ v back into the battery and charged back to 100% within the morning so very impressed at the panels (120w) performance. The build is also very good and solid really better than I had expected.
At this price I’m very tempted to purchase another to support our family whilst off grid.
Tip – the unit is well packaged and comes with some handy polystyrene panel covers for the packaging that perfectly match the panels surface dimensions so I laced a couple of tie wraps through the polystyrene and linked together to make a hinge then used as a handy panel protector when storing or covering panels whilst connecting. Free cover and re-cycling the waste packing. Might be an easy thing for Eco-Worthy to modify for the future?

Bought this for my daughter and her fiancé to change their Jackery while camping in their van. Even on a cloudy day they were getting 60w

I am currently using this item to charge a small Agm battery hooked up to a 300w sine wave converter and so far it has been a dream.

Just received the ECO-WORTHY 120W Folding Mono Solar Panel Suitcase with Kickstand + Charge Controller. Was packed well and panels are perfect. I am impressed with the quality of the panels and kick stands. Will be doing another review once we use it on our first camping trip.

J’ai reçu l’article et il y avait un panneau qui était brisé alors je l’ai retourné 🤨

So far we have used this during a one week camping trip in our VW Westfalia. We used it to keep a 100 amh deep cycle battery charged while our refrigerator was plugged into it. This was no flimsy test, we had temperatures in the 90’s and kept opening the frig and adding warm bottles of water, so the frig ran a lot. On top of that we accidentally covered one of the frig vents which made it hot and it worked too hard and used up a lot of battery power.
That being said, here’s what I like and don’t like so far. I needed something that was low profile and easy to store as we don’t have a lot of room in our van, this is perfect. It is the size of a large brief case, but thinner when folded and easily stores in my closet or under the bench seat. It is light weight which is a must for my husband. Getting the 45 degree angle for maximum sun we hung it off the front or back of the van. The controller, this might be the one draw back. It is a basic controller that shows volts only, no watts, and how charged up the battery is. It is attached to the back of the case in the zipper pocket, so there is no way to see what your output is once it is set up. It would be nice if it came with a blue tooth model so you could track all this with your phone. So I will probably upgrade the controller at some point.
Update 10-29-19, My brother was here and we hooked this unit up to his controller and the output was 65 watts in full sun……I’m no solar expert but I was hoping for more like 100 watts, maybe I’m missing something, but I was a bit disappointed.
UPDATE 12-13-19, The company is very pro active. They had sent me an email thanking me for my purchase and if there was anything they could help me with to just let them know. Well, I took that opportunity to mention I wasn’t happy with the output. They sent me a reply very fast and asked me to test the panel at the wires, with the controller unplugged. I got busy with work, and then we went on vacation, then it was raining….., they sent at least 2 or 3 more emails wanting to know what I learned about the panels. I don’t know about you but most companies don’t care if they hear from you again in my experience. Customer service is 5 stars! We tested them finally and the panels were putting out 119+ watts! Perfect for a 120 watt rated system!
I’m still giving it a 4 star rating because of the controller, and will probably be upgrading to a Victron MPPT controller to be able to use as much watts as possible.

Love the compact nature and price of this set of panels. Can’t beat the value. Typical output of a panel set and I’ve had no issues with it other than losing one of the support legs. While it’s nice to have two different angle points, I’d rather have permanent, folding supports than loose pieces.

Plug it in – get up to 40 watts of solar power for 10-15 minutes – then panels stop providing power and I have to plug everything back in to get another 10-15 minutes of solar power. After two months of this crap I am done with anything from this company.
Coda (4 months later) Well – now I’ve had these panels for a while. The company sent me an extra set because I didn’t – and don’t – think they’re working right. I think there was a short in some of the wiring they sent me with the first panel – they both work with the replacement panels’ wiring in that they provide power.
Having said that, I haven’t gotten either panel up over 60 watts output – nowhere close to the rated 100W – even in peak sun. They get really hot – almost melty – in the sun for long enough to charge my miniscule (280wH) portable power station. The dowels they give you to stand the panels on an angle have snapped in the holes rendering that feature useless (now I prop the panels up instead). But they do the job. Thanks to this company for trying and for their relatively good customer service. Half a loaf is better than none…

I use this to keep 12-volt AGM batteries topped off for CPAP and Refer when overlanding/camping. It is high quality (some reviews had me doubting) and works very well with my 30 amp PWM Charge Controller. It has every type of plug imaginable to hook up in a zippered pouch on the back… Packs very well. I am quite happy with this purchase and would also buy it again.

Very sturdy built, a bit weighty at 9.7kg, but very well built & looks good.

Kept my portable power station powered up in about 5 hours or less.
The only problem is the legs need to be snapped in completely or they fall out of the bracket.

I bought this panel last summer to use with my Jackery 300 and Jackery 160. The panels are great for portability but the output is lacking. I’ve only seen it get as high as 75w on a clear day. when it was advertised as 120w. Not sure how some users are getting 100w, maybe mine is defective. In the video you can see it’s a sunny day and my jackery and larger portable battery are only getting around 60-75w from the 120w panel.
