Switch to solar power with Renogy’s 100-watt Starter Kit. Solar energy changes into DC current with the monocrystalline panel, making it perfect for RVs, trailers, boats, sheds, cabins and more. For lasting use, it features a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame.

Easy hook up. Everything works great. Panel produces 15v even on a cloudy day

I bought the 800 watt 24 volt System. The graphics on the web page show enough cable to wire 8 panels, 2 batteries and the controller. But the kit came with barely enough wire and connectors to wire 2 panels and one battery! That is extremely misleading. Now I will have to spend more money for what I should have received in the first place.

Easy set up. Instructions could be better, but, not a deal breaker. Powers my sailboat very nicely. In my opinion, Renogy makes a very good product.

Directions are very poor – don’t even address the mounting of the panels or their orientation. No explanation on what you might connect to some of the ports on the controller.

I have not hooked up the RNG-kit-starter 400D-RVR40 yet. I am not getting any response from renogy for a writen instruction manual. I e-mailed them twice and no response. I hope this is not the way they do bussiness. Not pleased with renogy.

Works as expected. Keeps 12v deep cycle battery charged to 13.2 to run led lights in hanger.

The units looked nice, but I had an issue during installation with the battery. When I contacted the manufacturer, they offered no help. I spoke with Axl (Renogy representative) who told me the manufacturer would help me only if I purchased directly from them. I had to return what I purchased and bought directly from Renogy to get assistance with my products. Everything works now, but I would give the products 4 stars and the manufacturer 0 stars. That averages out to 2 stars total. Is it worth buying from a distributor if the manufacturer won’t help you?

Thanks for the great system. It was simple to install and works great to run a refrigerator, fan, and lights in my pickup camper. But – please do some work on the manual, this is a starter kit, so a lot of folks, like me, won’t know a lot about electricity. A brief description of the concepts: amps, watts, volts, & power, would have saved me a lot of YouTube time and frustration. Hooking up the main leads from and to the controller was clear, but there is very little to no information on hooking up to the power outlet. There is also nothing about the switch to turn on and off the power port. The manual is kind of written by and for people who “don’t need a manual”. Other than the manual – I’m very pleased with the system! Thanks!
