I received this and tested it. When there it was smoky sky and no sun light 4PM, the current flow into battery was 120mA. When it was sunlight 11AM, at no load I saw 1.15A current flow into battery (mighty max 35 AH) at 14V. With 60 watts light bull I saw 3.25A flow into battery while current flow into inverter was 4.8A.
3.25A X 14V = 45.5 watts which is ~50% from 100 watts. I can use this for router, and monitor and laptop when power got cut off to work from home.

This was easy to install and works very well. But it’s not made to withstand the weight of snow. The fasteners stayed in place in the roof while the frame broke around them as the snow melted and the weight of the moving snow mass dragged the panel off the roof. We are reinforcing the frame and hopefully next time it will stay in place, and adding an extra panel on a sunny wall rather than exposed roof – however for a long term outside product, an aluminium frame might not be ideal in areas with inclement weather ….

I purchased this kit as an alternative to carrying a flashlight into my 12×20 shed. Everything I needed was in the box and I had an extra battery lying around that I added for power storage. I assembled the kit and tested everything in a sunny spot in the back yard before mounting the panel on the roof of my shed. After reconnecting everything, I could not get a reading from the panel which I thought was because my shed is in filtered sunlight from a large oak tree, however when I rechecked the panel wires, I discovered that the red cable had pulled loose from inside the panel junction box requiring some fresh solder. The strain relief caps were on, but loose from the factory, so I recommend double checking they are tight before mounting your panel.
Once repaired, everything worked perfectly. The panel provides plenty of power during the day, even on cloudy days under the shade of a large live oak tree. Hopefully the performance remains the same when the tree fills out in the spring and summer. I am using one panel and one 12v 35AH battery to power a 48″ LED shop light and it is nice and bright in my shed at last!

I bought this combo kit for my mobile mechanic truck setup. I installed the solar panel on the top of my truck topper and connected the charge controller to a 12v battery along with the inverter. This allows me to keep my power tool batteries charged, run lights inside the topper and even use power tools that require 110v on the go. I am very happy with this set up. I would highly recommend this set up.

Great value kit and perfect for the purpose. Pretty easy for the novice to put together and seems to be well made. Got enough energy on the very first day for the chicken water heater to work the same night!

I purchased this specific kit over the model #53000 (same kit w/out the 300W inverter priced at approximately $100 less) due to the fact that this set contains a power inverter. I tested this item on a new Renogy battery with satisfactory results.
This was then prepared as an emergency backup system for use in the event of a power outage (a common occurrence in my area). When the event occurred, the inverter failed to turn on. I emailed customer service months ago and received no response.
