I received this solar panel kit in 2 days after I ordered it, as it ships from the LA area in California.
Initial impressions of the kit are that it is an excellent solution for a portable 120 watt solar system. There are other competitor solar kits that I have already tried out that tout a briefcase design similar to this one, but this one also comes with the fabric legs on the back of the panels to help with positioning when the sun is not perfectly overhead, and comes with a great charge controller.
The solar charge controller that comes with the kit is high quality, and water proof which is very important as I can spend time in areas where rain may appear out of nowhere. I am using this system to help keep a 100 Ah AGM battery I purchased to run my camp site running, without having to run a generator. To put this in perspective, the average generator gives two options for charging AGM batteries, either if you have an inverter generator, you can hook up your charge leads directly but only charge at like an 8-10 amp charge rate, which for a 100 Ah battery means you’d have to run the generator for 10 hours to fully charge (of course, you should never fully discharge your battery but the point is that you have to run the generator for a large amount of time), OR you use this awesome solar kit and have zero noise while charging your battery/batteries!
The end of the charge controller lead has an SAE connector before the alligator clips, so you don’t actually need to hook your alligator clips to your battery if you don’t need to.
The MC4 connectors have tangs to help remove them, which is much better than having to mess around with a tool (or destroying your fingers trying to get them undone), but frankly, you should be able to tuck the controller + extra cable into the back of the panel briefcase in its pocket.
Overall, great solar panel kit, very good construction, and does what it advertises.

This is my second product from ACOPower. It’s always a leap of faith despite good reviews. Well… I’m happy to report ACOPower continues to live up to expectations and now I fully understand the great reviews. At the heart of ACOPower is customer service. I’m an engineer by trade and even I find it daunting to navigate the world of solar. Customer service has been responsive and reliable, which this day and age is paramount and hard to come by. Case in point… while camping and I backed into my solar panels and damaged them. My guess is that most manufacturers would say its not serviceable and recommend you buy a new one. Not ACOPower, they helped me diagnose which parts needed replacing and quickly repair my panels. Solar isn’t cheap and this affirmed the type of company and product they build. Now back to the 120-Watt folding solar kit. It’s light, portable and plug-n-play. There’s grommet holes if you want to lock them up when off the grid. There’s an integrated stand and storage pouch. The charge controller is compatible with most types of batteries including lithium. As for the charge controller, it’s easy to understand, provides useful info and intuitive… unlike a lot of the other more complicated (and expensive) units. Best way to sum up ACOPower is affordable performance that’s not intimidating to the average user. I suspect this isn’t my last product from ACOPower. Thumbs up and get off the grid!

I purchased this to charge a solar generator I’m using with my RV setup and so far no regrets. I’m finding the performance to be consistent with the specs and with solid built quality, including the stands, case and connectors. The panels do fold flat so they’re easy to store and the case appears to provide adequate protection for the panels so I don’t have to worry how and where I store them in the camper. It comes with the panel/suitcase, cable and MC4 connectors pictured but no “10-Amp Charge Controller” as listed in the item’s title, which is the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars. Nevertheless, I find them to be a good value compared to other options out there (especially since it comes with high efficiency Sunpower panels). I will update this review if I experience any problems down the road.
