Seems to work very well and arrived within a reasonable timeframe. does need full sun on the ENTIRE Solar Panel though.

I tested the pump because it never lift water after one day in the sun. Basic calculation: the pump is 11W@24V. P=VI means that the pump draws max 0.5A. Under 12V, it’s 0.25A. The panel provides under a PERFECT theorical sun 1000w/sq. meter. a Pmax (maximum power possible) of 12w. Enough to run the pump at max speed. But, when you put a 21.5V (my power generator), the pump draws max 0.5A and the lift is miserable. Even at 24+ Volts, the flow is… (sad face)
That means that even you put a 1sq meter solar panel, the pump, at max amp, lift a very small amount of water. See pics by yourself. In real conditions, the voltage drops quickly on a solar panel and the provided power will not be enough to move an amount of water you can expect of a (small) fountain.
I think it’s better to find a better 12V with a bigger amps (1 amp or better) and choose a set of tubes. maybe a good 500gpm bilge pump (3 amps, like the attwood tsunami) with a bigger solar panel.
But forget this kit here. Even with a battery backup. Maybe in Sahara, in the middle of the day.
You know what I will do with my package. Yep, return to seller.
update: purchased an atwood tsunami 500gpm (non solar) bilge pump (30$) and a kit of nozzles (20$) and the last pic is the result. Far far better !

Although I have not set this up outside yet (the pond is frozen). Everything in the box looks great. I also recieved it earlier then expected which was nice!
I will update my review once it’s all set up and running.

I hesitated for a while because all the images I could find were of fountains and I was not sure what kind of flow this would provide for a waterfall, so I added a video of my completed waterfall. The water travels about five feet horizontally from the pump with about a two-foot vertical lift. The pump was very easy to set up and it was easy to add half-inch vinyl pond tubing tubing purchased elsewhere on Amazon instead of the provided fountain attachment to complete the waterfall. It provides just the amount of flow I was hoping for, robust and lively but not a torrent. Obviously it varies with the amount of sunlight, which is fine by us, but we were pleasantly surprised that it often keeps up a reduced flow even when the sun is shining through some degree of cloud, as long as it is still bright enough. It has worked perfectly for about a month so far and given us great pleasure. (I can also report that two of these have worked great straight out of the box. The first one I ordered I set up as a fountain just to test it, left it running, and I think an animal dislodged it – it ended up pointing out of the pond and by the time I returned the pond had emptied and the pump had burned out from running dry :-(. Back to Amazon for a second pump, which I was more careful to secure before leaving unattended!)

Item arrived on time as expected, via prime. Easy set up with my double barrel fountain already filled and awaiting the pump addition. Initially, the pump and the included fountain stem were attached and placed into the lower barrel however the force of the pump pushed the water through just fine, but too much force for my fountain set up and shot the water 2-3 feet above the water line and outside of the fountain. Was a funny surprise as I wasn’t expecting that from the pump force of a solar set up. I ended up removing the entire fountain stem and ran a 1″ hose from the pump up to the top barrel and through the black cast iron hand pump sitting on the top barrel dumping the water flow into the top barrel and overflowing into the bottom where the pump sits. I added a DIY filter box with pond filter media and bio balls to aid in the water balance and the addition of Red Rosie Minnows for bug control. Snails unknowingly came along with my pond plants and will also aid in algae control.
Another plus to adding a running fountain to your yard space, is attracting birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and moths.
As for the solar function. This works excellent in Full Sun! Any overcast or clouds or shadows will suspend the pump. I am in So. Arizona and full sun isn’t normally an issue but during the summer months with monsoons, overcast skies occur. I was aware that this is a solar only pump. NO back up battery. I haven’t decided on purchasing the optional backup battery only due to inconsistent reviews on reliability.
I give this solar pump 4/5 stars for the pumping force, quite impressive! Again, this solar panel must be placed in a full sun location for day time running only. I included a short video clip of my pump in operation. I also recommend using a filter box for your pump to prolong the pump life and protecting from algae and debris from sucking into the pump.

I purchased the ECO-WORTHY Solar Fountain Water Pump Kit (10watt) to replace an A/C powered water pump in our water feature. The water feature is located in the corner of our property and quite far from an electrical outlet.
The new solar pump works very well !!! In fact the pressure is at least double that of the electric pump, so I installed a flow valve to reduce the water flow. The solar panel is excellent during sunny days, however when clouds obscure the sun or once evening comes, the pump stops working until the sun is shining again.
Since we like sitting outside in the evening and love the sound of running water, I went back to the distributor to ask if they possibly had a battery backup pack that the solar panel could feed during sunny times. They Did !!!!!
The solar panel comes with a 16’ cable and an extension cable (16’) is also available. I ordered the battery pack and the 16’ extension cable and the setup now is superb. If you want a totally hands-off solar water pump installation – this is the one you need then. It’s a solid performer !!!!
The solar panel feeds the battery pack. The battery pack supplies power to the pump. And the pump runs all day long and beyond sunset. It’s a perfect setup !!!!! The battery also comes with an A/C power charger that you can use should you have too many consecutive days of overcast. Just charge the battery pack and plug it back into the setup.
I’ve attached pictures to show how my installation works. I did upload the pics And a video but can’t seem to find them anywhere – I’ll try again.
