I got this power bank for my daughter since her phone is always active and can’t last a whole day. The power bank is very light and came with a carabiner. It make it easier to just latch it on her backpack when went hiking. There’s a build in solar panel too, so she flip it outward so she can get some extra free charge. It’s a small panel so we only use it as an additive benefit. We mainly charge it using our usb hub at home. The other side of the power bank have a compass, and the front has a bright flash light. It’s a nice set of tools build into one. Great for camping.

I really wanted to like this, but I was very disappointed in the quality. First of all, nowhere on the charger does it say it’s by Errbbic like in the photo. I think that was my first clue that this is just a cheap knock-off made by some other company. Also, there was no booklet with this at all, just the small cord that came with it. I charged it up with the power cord, and then hooked my phone up to it. It did charge in a reasonable amount of time, but used a lot of battery doing so….like half. Next I plugged in my iPad and within 15 minutes the charger had used all the charge, but my iPad hardly charged at all. I was expecting so much more out of this solar charger, as I live in Nova Scotia, and we are increasingly getting more hurricanes and losing power with storms. If you need something reliable, I would look elsewhere!! That’s what I’m going to have to do….

I was looking for something to keep our phones charged while at the beach and when we travel on a trip. It’s been perfect, the light indicator let’s you know how it’s charging and it activates even when you’re not in direct sunlight! Seriously can’t beat the price!!

I Like mine…my friend’s literally “blew up” — like “POP” sitting in their kitchen cabinet.

Only downside of product is that battery gets depleted fast but works perfectly charge phones and tablets fast.

Note, I do NOT fully understand exactly what IP65 rating entails, but this is what I found online:
“An IP65 rated enclosure gives protection against low pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray. It’s suitable for most outdoor enclosures that won’t encounter extreme weather such as flooding.”
If I were to go by this rating definition, I would say it’s not IP65. I designed a wooden housing that would allow this charger to be exposed to sunlight but at the same time, keep the upper section sealed from liquid intrusion. I installed it for an outdoor project with this unit upright at about a 60 degree angle.
After 1.5 days of rain, the inside got quite wet. Refer to my pictures. I was unaware until I noticed my light coming on without me doing anthing. I instantly suspected water intrusion which was exactly the culprit. I tore open the unit and voila, water was everywhere on the inside.
After wiping the unit down and letting it air dry properly, all functionality returned. So if you think you can let this battery get pummeled by rain or get drenched, you are going to be in for a rude awakening. After opening it up and seeing how many openings there are to the inside, it makes perfect sense how water made its way in. The rubber seal used to keep out water will invariably let water in. There are simply just too many openings. Take the IP65 rating with a grain of salt.
As a final note, I would like to reiterate that I am not faulting the unit. It was clearly not designed to be left in the rain, but one would think an IP65 rating would be able to given the definition. Rain is essentially a low pressure spray and IP65 ratings are supposed to be able to keep out water from low pressure water spray. Regardless, I am well aware that I may have used it in a way it was never designed to be used. As such, I, the user am just as at fault for doing so, and for this reason, I don’t fault the unit.
Having said that, I would warn anyone to think twice if you think this product will keep liquid out as it clearly does not. Use in wet conditions at your own discretion. As far as the solar charging goes, if you don’t intend on depending on it, you wont’t be disappointed. It’s better to just pretend it doesn’t exist. As a battery pack, it seems to work fine but it’s no Anker. I bought three and intend to use them accordingly now that I know. As to longevity, having opened it up, I am not holding my breath; it’s cheap, what do you expect?

I traveled out of the country and it was very helpful keeping my phone charge while I was on the go throughout the day

You have to remember to charge it on your computer the first several times. My daughter charged it the first time, used it and then we went camping… we could NOT charge it with the sun. It was not functional at all. When we got home, she used the computer a few times. It has been ok, but not the greatest thing ever.
