I like how compact this panel folds up into. Even with a small amount of light, the LED lit up. I put it outside, and my iPhone started charging. The panel fits nicely in the case that comes with it, with some room for a cable. This will be useful for hiking or camping to keep your phone charged when you stop and can put it in direct sun.

I had decent sunlight for once in Florida so I gave this a try and it worked as it should. It did not charge my phone quickly but it definitely put out enough power to charge the device. Granted it was early in the morning around 9:00 a.m. so the sun really wasn’t as bright as it would have been around noon but we’ve been having pretty terrible weather lately so I did not have a chance to test it again midday under a clear sky. I’m happy with the solar charger though nevertheless as this is meant to be a backup power source in a case of a hurricane or when I go fishing, not as a daily use device. I’m happy I have it for emergency situations and recommend it for the same reason. I like that it can be hung or laid flat, the compact size means it is for sure a “bug out bag” necessity for me. 5 stars!

It is an amazing product, a great product to use for charging USB devices like cell phones when you are without electricity. I made the right choice with this purchase,my kids very like it and require to buy one more for her. Its light weight and easy to set up. I set it in the sun, plugged in my phone and it started charging. Having this has given me peace of mind for travel, hiking or power outages. It is lightweight and sturdy. Worth the money.the solar energy conversion efficiency is 22% which is pretty good .I don’t worry my phone will be out of power now .

I bought this to add to my emergency kit. to it, I paired it with a 4800 Mah battery. I drained the battery completely, connected a very short USB cable (we’re talking inches, not feet) to reduce as much resistance as possible, which would cause the battery to charge much slower.
I placed it direct sunlight, cloud-free sky days only. for 5 hours each day the Sun was shining. After 3 days and a total of 14-15 hours, the battery was fully charged.
I also tried charging the phone directly, but it appeared to be charging much slower than when I was charging the battery. My guess is that since newer phones have the fast-charge capability, and require a higher initial power surge, they will tend to charge slower, especially since the USB port on the panel doesn’t appear to be USB-3. I recommend charging an external battery first and then charging your phone. Be sure the battery is out of direct sunlight otherwise; well, you already know what will happen.
If you are looking for a panel that has a one-to-one charge ratio, meaning that it is charging your phone at the same rate a wall charger would, none of these types of panels are going to do that. There is one company that I know of that sells a small panel similar to this one and uses additional propriety tech in their panel that can (I have not tested them). But at $300, I was looking for a cheaper solution.
For an emergency situation, this will work since after 3-4 hours of charging, 1 of 4 LED’s on the battery indicated it had power. This would be enough to provide enough charge power to your phone to make a few shorts calls. There is a larger similar version of this panel that uses the same process, that I have not tested yet. but overall, this is not bad for the price and compact size for including in an emergency kit or bugout bag. Otherwise, the $300 panel, (Ascent Solar) not sold on Amazon is said to be the best since I have not had a chance to test it (it’s also Made in the US).
For my purpose, this panel will be sufficient for my emergency kit. but if I need one that charges 1:1, this is not it but better than other panels of similar size and some larger ones found on Amazon.
YMMV

The quality of this foldable solar panel is exceptional! You just feel like it is going to last a long time because of the way it looks and has been constructed. It has 1 USB 5V/2.4A Max port for your phones, laptops, and small devices. No cords come with this unit.. You can also hang this on the back of a backpack so you can charge your devices while you hike! It’s small enough to fit in a small backpack but big enough to charge your small devices one at a time.
It has hanging hooks if you want to attach it to the side of a car, a fence, a tent, etc. It’s IPX5 waterproof, foldable, and the 14 watts is more than enough power to charge most of your small devices without any problems overtime. The solar panel is high efficiency, and it has a built-in smart chip so that way you don’t overcharge your small devices.
The opposite side of the solar panel is a very thick and durable Oxford cloth which is waterproof, and the panel has high temperature resistant technology built into the glass so there is no scorching or burning. Even though I am not familiar with the brand name, the product is rock solid!

I have been using this temporarily to keep a camera charged up outside for the last two weeks through storms and all and it has been doing it’s job flawlessly.
