Living in Florida, where power outages due to hurricanes (or just a bad afternoon storm) are a common occurrence, this standalone powerbank and accompanying 40W foldable solar panel have proven to be invaluable additions to our emergency preparedness kit.
The powerbank is essentially a portable, off-grid UPS unit that excels in providing DC or AC power in emergency or off-grid situations. Despite having a whole-home Tesla Powerwall, this powerbank serves as a reliable backup to our backup, allowing for ad-hoc charging of devices during sustained power outages. The versatility of providing AC, DC (12V, typical vehicle 12V socket included) and direct USB power (without loss due to AC > DC conversion) is a huge bonus, and the extra connectors to enable use of other solar panels was a pleasant surprise!
The 40W foldable solar panel is a great companion to the powerbank, ensuring that we can generate power even when the grid is down. It’s compact, easy to set up, and highly efficient in converting sunlight into electricity. So living in a hurricane area every year losing electric is a thing and I hate it so bad. Sometimes you can be without electric for hours in a day or over night and what happens the most is if the storm is still going on you can’t open windows so it gets super hot in the house and stuff. You can’t run fans because no electric. To be able to hook a fan or a mini fridge in to keep things cold and you cooled down is such a want during this time. Well this is where this comes in gives you that piece of mind during storm season. Its worth the price if you have ever sit in the dark heat of a power outage. Not to mention you can hook things like cell phones and laptops to it too. The fact that it has the solar feature I loved the most because even if your without power for days you could recharge this if you had to solar wise and still keep using it. This would be great for camping trips or over the road trips because it has a hook up for in the car as well and even has a wall adapter. It comes with a bunch of different ac adapters so you can use the solar panel on other power stations you may have too. You can’t use for anything over 200W but you would be amazed of how much you can use still I even have a small hot plate that would come in handy during power outage as well. I love this its a smart buy for anyone even if it stays in your closet most the year then you have a power outage or storm that lasts days hands down this will still be worth it. I recommend it 100%.

I liked the compactness and price, but if it doesn’t perform like it should, that all doesn’t matter. Very disappointed. I was going to use it on a trip, but who cares? Powkey certainly doesn’t. Upon further review on the reviews, there are many who feel the same.

Seemed to take along time to charge with the solar panel so I was going to return it. Then I charged it with ac. Took it camping for the weekend. Wow! Kept all of our portable electronics charged. Ran my necessary medical equipment running ie nebulizer. Power to inflate queen size air mattress and top it of. Still had 50 percent power when I got home!

Out of the shipping box, AC button would not work. No case included and poorly spelled user manual. I had such high hopes. Sadly, sent it back.
