Unfortunately, I am the typical installer. I didn’t read the directions thought we could install it just by looking at it. Turns out we were wrong.
It says in plain letters do not hook up directly to a circuit board. Which is what we did in the solar panel would not keep the batteries charged.
So upon contacting customer service they asked a few questions, and after reviewing my answers, they very politely pointed out the problem.
Luckily, no damage was done to the solar panel and it’s working just fine now.
Thanks for the help Frank

The nice thing about this solar panel is it comes with a curved rod for mounting. I use it on a dock to charge my boat batteries. I did not rate it five stars because the mounting screws and wing nut are starting to show rust after being in the rain only twice. The hardware should only be stainless for outside use.

Foolishly, I bought four of these. They are absolute garbage! Totally worthless. In full sunlight the total output is 0 volts DC. That’s right… Absolutely ZERO voltage output in FULL sunlight. And I tested them all. A complete and total waste of money. And, of course, the return window has closed.
Don’t waste your time or money. I am sick and tired of all this garbage from China! Total junk!

Shoremaster and lake lite wanted over $350 for solar panel kit for boat lift. A new shoremaster lift mate friction wheel was priced at $1,095. This was ridiculous and decided to do it myself for cheaper.
Purchased this solar panel with mounting kit and it works great. I bought 3/4 metal conduit 7 feet long from homedepot for $7. The end of the circular mounting bracket for solar panel fits nicely down inside conduit. I drilled in 1 self tapper screw to make sure it doesn’t rotate. I attached conduit to boat lift upright post with 2 post clamps left over from battery box. I purchased extreme max boat lift battery holder from homedpot online for $76.27 including tax. It comes with 2 self tapping screws which I used to attach it to the post. I purchased a used 12v shoremaster lift mate friction wheel on Facebook marketplace for $200. The switch on lift motor was broken. I purchased a HQRP Toggle compatible with ultra fab switch for a frame trailer tongue hack off Amazon for $14.78 and it works perfectly. I already had battery and battery terminal posts. All told I spent $362.80 instead of $1,445 that shoremaster/lake lite would have charged.

I usually give 5-stars but I couldn’t with this one. Yes it does charge like its supposed to. BUT it Didn’t come with any of the mounting hardware !! IE: clamps , screws etc.. It came with the solar panel mounting pole wires, and instructions. Thanks to the nuts & bolts drawer, and the local hardware store. I was able to get it mounted and charging my gate battery.

I have an old BMW that gets driven very little so I’ve used a 120v battery maintainer with a very long power cord. Using this solar charger makes the yard look much better. The order arrived one day earlier than the given delivery date. Very well packaged. Sturdy construction Easy assembly attaching the mounting tube to the collector. For mounting, a kit supplies 2 – 2 hole u-straps with hex head lag bolts which is intended to attach the collector to a wooden post. I chose 3/4” PVC SCH 40 tubing sandwiched between 2 pieces of angle iron (not supplied) pounded into the ground for mounting the collector. The OD of the mounting tube slips easily into 3/4” PVC SCH 40 tubing. The 120v battery maintainer I used kept the battery well charged. Today I am connecting the new SUNER Power 12V Solar Battery Trickle Charger & Maintainer. So far I am very pleased (5 Stars). I will update this review with how it is maintaining my 12v battery in a few weeks.
