Firstly I’d like to say, Westinghouse is the only manufacturer that makes these generators rated at 120v instead of 110v. Not a big deal in most cases. AC current tends to fluctuate a little anyway but more sensitive electronics have a tendency not to operate properly if the current drops too low. This leads into my issue with this unit. I use it to power monolights and the draw from my 500 wattsecond lights pull 286 watts each for a fraction of a second depending on the duration of the flash. I should have known that 572 watts would be too close to the rated 600watt max on this unit. It causes a fault and the battery shuts down. Westinghouse did an excellent job with the protection circuit on these and it doesn’t hurt the unit. It just shuts down and reverts to normal operating status after a few moments. Sadly a few moments I can’t afford to lose when photographing live subjects. I have complete faith in this product and will be sending this one back for the next size up which I believe will be more than capable of handling my needs.

While this works fine for some smaller applications, the fact that it has a “modified sine wave” may cause issues with some appliances. The description states pure sine wave but the PDF specification sheet and the Westinghouse website both state this has a modified sine wave. In simple terms a modified sine wave produces choppy power. So medical equipment, laptops will function better with a pure sine wave and may not run or won’t run properly on a modified sine wave.

Looks good lightweight with power

I could not be happier. It’s 6/21/23. I’m in Tulsa and there’s no power due to extreme straight line winds during a storm on 6/18. This little jewel is running a desktop fan from my desk at work, which is where I charged it on my overnight shift. It’s keeping me as comfortable as can be. It’s ran the fan for over 3 hours on the fan’s medium speed and still shows a full charge. Yippee. I can sleep in this heat. I’m thrilled.

NO COMPREN.

As I see it, great product for small items. The item is views as larger online. I need it to pump water from my basement, but it’s too weak for that job.

I have been able to power up my CPAP machine with the DC cable adapter that Westinghouse provided. With the proper DC output car charger adapter hooked up gave me over 7 hours running the CPAP, with still have some battery life.
I will be taking it tent camping to see how it does. Hopefully I can up my review afterwards.

I Fly RC planes and some flying fields don’t have power. This runs my battery charger with no problems at all. That’s all I use it for and it does it’s job very well.
