UPDATE: On further research / testing I’ve figured out that the portable power station I was using is only limited to about 60 watts of charging. That would mostly explain the 50-ish watts of charging I’m getting though I would like to know why I’m not getting the full 60 watts with a 130 watts panel.
With that I’m bumping up my review to 4 stars…. I do find the solar panels to be a bit on the bulky/heavy side. Probably a combination of the 130W power producing spec (compared to 100W-120W of other panels in its class) and low panel efficiency of 19% (compared to 22-23% of its peers)
Original Review Below:
I’m in Vancouver. In my testing during late June / early July, the best I’ve gotten is around 55 watts according to my AllPowers portable power generator. I tested it during noon, during mid-afternoon, on clear days, with and without the stands : I’m usually getting around 50 watts. Only once did I get a little over 55 watts.
Now, I don’t expect 130W out of this thing. I’ve seen various reviews of other solar panels where people reported around 60% to 80% of their panel’s stated power. But then 60% of 130 watts is a bit under 80 watts, which I am no where close with the panels I have.
Besides the performance, build quality is pretty decent. I like the 4 panel, quad folding style – though its still quite large when folded up.
The price was good too – although considering the lackluster power I’m getting out of it, perhaps this is a case of you get what you pay for.

Bought this unit less than a year ago. Used once during a camping trip. Stopped working after that.
Edit: customer service experience was amazing and the issue has been resolved.

Couldn’t even charge my cellphone yet alone a power station.
Before retuning this I tried putting the panel in full sun for a few minutes before it clouded over again and still all I was getting was 1 watt of power in full sun.
Amazon was great with the return shipping and the quick refund thanks.

This is a really nice kit. As opposed to 100w that you normally get you get 130w. This might not seem like a lot but in the scheme of things it is huge. I am able to keep a 12v battery charged and have enough power to run my led lights and fans in my shipping container. I have used it for hours at a time and my battery has not lost to much of its charge. This panel has been able to keep my battery pretty much topped off and the setup of this item is easy..
You unfold it, you hook the solar part into the solar in, you put the battery on the battery out. You connect your inverter to the battery and you are good to go. I haven’t used it for anything DC yet but seeing how well it does with AC I cant imagine it will be any less capable.
This panel pairs perfectly with a inverter and a lifepod battery. If you are looking to get something like this the X-Dragon setup is the way to go. It is easy to use and it just works. It does not weigh very much and if you get a smaller lifepod battery your whole setup should be under 20lbs.

Honestly I didn’t expect a lot from this product and it managed to exceed all of my expectations! Charged my Samsung G s20 from 19% to 47% in 30 minutes! That rite there was enough to convince me that this product was worth the money. Direct sunlight is extremely important! Fortunately for me I live in Southern California and have ample sun. It will produce a charge with less but will take a lot longer to charge you device. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the side pouch, great addition, and so far only 1 con its just a bit heavy .Thank you Xdragon I look forward to future business with your company.

The 130 watt rating threw me a bit, and when I received it it was exactly the same size and design of a 120 watt panel that I had just received. It had the same accessories and connectors, the same snap on legs to stand it up, and it has the exact same dimensions of the product overall and the solar panels.
I was able to get about 122 watts in direct sun with about 6.3 to 6.4 amps of current, so pretty similar to the 120 watt panel. It is well built and seems durable, but I still don’t really care for the snap on legs. It’s definitely a good value for the money, and the options for attaching devices make it extremely useful across a wide variety of situations. Having the MC4 connectors and a built in charge controller to supply power to USB devices and a direct DC cable plug for portable power stations make extremely versatile.
Another high quality solar panel that I can’t wait to put into full use for camping season and summer astrophotography.

During testing it seemed to work great, but the it quit working the first time I used it.

The 2 retaining clips are too short and difficult to clasp.
