Purchased this based on reviews, so if you take the time to write one, they are utilized, and it’s why, after just over a month now, I am writing this one.
I had purchased two outdoor cameras (VicoHome), here on Amazon for my backyard, mostly to view my pets when not at home (doggy door trained), anyway, their placement makes it hard to take down and recharge, so I looked for a solar panel that would make it possible to recharge them. Originally ordered a different brand, one that claimed to be compatible (no usb c charging cable), but it wasn’t, so I found this one, which when it came, I opened the box and saw that it had the capability to connect to the cameras. I also like the fact that the long cord has a convenient cord storage that enables you to wrap the cord around the back of the solar panel, in that way you don’t have to have long cords hanging from anywhere. My brother set them up, and, as I stated above, over a month now, without any issues. It keeps my cameras fully charged and working.

Excellent product. Maintains almost 100% charge for security camera battery even with virtually no direct sunlight exposure. Connectors seem less fragile than REO link original.

This panel does the trick. Though the description says it won’t work with Kasa cameras, I have 2 attached to 2 separate Kasa/TAPO wireless cameras and they have been fully charged since I installed them a couple of months ago. One the panels is in a location that doesn’t get much sun, but it still keeps a camera charged even with high sensitivity setting and lots of motion that run the camera often.
The install is easy, I recommend better screws than provided to get a good bite, but that’s the only complaint.
Both panels have performed well in snow and below zero temps for the past week.

The panel appears to have an integrated regulator that holds the voltage above a standard USB charging circuit and adjusts the current based on available sunlight. This is perfect as other cheap panels allow the voltage to fluctuate widely constantly tripping the charging circuit on the connected device. Does an excellent job topping off battery powered security cameras every day.

Picks up enough sun to provide power for most of the day. Output is pretty stable too, keeps my remote device charged up perfectly. The only nitpick I have is that the panel doesn’t screw onto the mount very tightly, but it also hasn’t come loose at all since installing it so I’m not sure if it’s even an issue.

Good quality product. Plastic mounting bracket works easily enough. Comes with 12 ft+ of cord to reach an installation that might be some distance away. USB C plug is very convenient for use with modern camera or DIY microcontroller project. Overall, I’m very happy with this.

Unit works well. Installed to replace an older (different mfr) unit that was de-laminating and no longer giving a full charge. This is critical, given the mount location.
This unit has brought the attached device back up to full charge and hopefully, will be durable through our winters.
So far, I recommend this unit!

Used this in conjunction with a RAK device, and enclosure for a Meshtastic node. Works great charging up the 18650’s in the case. I did end up cutting the USB cable off and created a plug for the RAK device.

Fit on the original pod perfectly

The price is great, it is doing what it was promised to do changing the camera’s batteries. I am satisfied with the performance of the solar panel.

El panel funciona bien pero no la pequeña rotula de la base que tiene para fijar su posición no sirve, por lo que tuve que pegarlo con cinta para que se quedara fijo.

My husband didn’t like this because it stopped working and they reached out to us and we got a refund. I on the other hand would try the product again. As I told my husband maybe we just got a bad panel. We are 50/50 split on it but I’d buy it again.

Used the included sticker to mark the pilot holes. Upon removing sticker… the adhesive was still stuck to the pole. Peeling it off would have took up much more time than I had so I ended up leaving it. The first included screw broke when I was drilling it into the pilot hole. Ended up using my own screws. The unit does charge my battery operated camera. However it’s doing so at a snail pace. I have two other cameras that are hooked up to a solar panel (different brand) and at least move a certain percentage daily. This thing moves it up like 1% a day.
