I received this product very quickly. The package was simple but everything arrived in good condition, except for one of the rings that was lost, and the protective plastic was unbonded in that corner. I contacted the seller and he answered me immediately. Great costumer service! I explained to him my situation and we were able to reach an agreement.
About the product, the Controller is small but it works well. It has 2 USB ports, which is a nice feature to plug phones or else.
The connections are great and are waterproof. I am setting up my panels in the roof of my RV. The size is perfect to fit between the AC and the other things . The flexibility of the panels is a great feature. They mold to my roof perfectly because they can curve. They are very lite and I was able to screw them using screws, washers, and sealant, and I added double side tape to the front where the wind blows strongly in the Highway, and got attached very well. I did not sealed them in the four sides, I’d rather have water running free under the panel, but easily to evaporate.
About the Wattage, they may not be the 1,200 Watts but they work very well even under very low sunlight. They charge from sunrise to sunset. When the light shines directly, the charge is really great.
I tested them leaving all my LED lights on, the fridge, and a small TV the whole night to drain the battery, and next day it was totally overcast, basically zero sunlight, and the panels were able to keep my battery at 12.0 until sunset. This was the worst case scenario, and it worked very well.
In another test, we had sunny skies the whole day. The panels charged my batteries from 11.1 to 13.4 long before the sunset.
The instructions are not that great, the letter size is tiny, but once you figure it out, it makes total sense and it is very easy to install properly.
Careful! The red cable is backward, the black is the positive. This is not a big deal, but you need to keep that on mind to make the correct connections to the battery.
All things considered, for the price you pay it is totally worth it. It is a great kit to get started in solar, easy to install and good enough to spend many days with no connection to the power with no problem at all under sunny skies.
I have two 6V batteries connected in series, and they get charged really great with the panels.
I recommend this product. I only put 4 stars because of the missing ring and the protective plastic lifted in that corner, and the instructions. But as I said, the seller answered me immediately and took care of my problem!
I would buy it again for another RV or a boat. I strongly recommend this product, specially if you have never tried solar before. Compared with other panels and systems, the weight is so low compared, and the connections are very straight forward.
If you have any questions, contact the seller, I am sure he will answered and help you to choose the right product.
