they got up over 1300W peak, so glad I didn’t get another panel as my charge controller only supports up to 1500W.

The 2 Renogy Bifacial 550 Watt Solar Panels arrived safely and were installed.? However, the glass surface of the front of the panels was abraded? discolored maybe by contact with the cardboard packing.? There was no soft packing in between so when shipped, the moving and jiggling may have caused this.? I tried cleaning the surface but nothing works.? Hope it doesn’t cut down on the efficiency.

These things are massive. In size and output. Bought the 550 watt panels and did not realize how big these things really are. Going to use it as a screening setup. Laid them on my front grass in not the best angle for testing and saw a peek of 1138. The two days of testing they would still see between 450 to 550 when clouds passes just laying on the grass. These panels easily make there rated output and do well on cloudy days. They are great!

I was really hoping to hit at least 1 KW, but 900W for 2 in series has been the max from the Las Vegas sun. In comparison, it takes 12 – 100W Renogy panels to give me ~ 900W. I have them leaning against a bright block wall at about 45 degrees, where they get full sun from morning to evening. Maybe they are supposed to be mounted up high and out in the open to get reflected light. I would need a heavy duty pole mount for that.

I love these because yes they are big but you only need to wire two and they work outstanding I will be buying more.
