i bought this panel because i not pleased with the folding panels for my portable solar generator.
it is well built. as far as the size? its easy to stash. its rated at 100watts, and had no problem getting a consistant 87watts when positioned correctly. for my little 500 watt station it works perfectly

This is a great solar kit for off grid camping.

I purchased this system in May 2022. I’m happy to say the system has operated flawlessly. The solar panels put out as much power as advertised. At one point in the day the system was reading 408W total input. That is quite amazing as usually you don’t get that type of power output for only 4 panels rated for only 100W each. The interface is quite easy to program. Installing the panels like I did was simple. But it took a little planning on my part. If you are planning in installing this system on top of a RV or trailer deep Unistrut works great. Wiring the system is straight forward. I do advise since you are working with solar panels that always have some sort on the output that you take precautions in wiring the system up. For me I placed a 40A fuse in line with the solar panels so that if something went wrong with the controller or battery it would blow the fuse and save your wiring. I also placed a 40-amp fuse coming from the battery to protect the battery and the incoming wiring. The only issue I have had with the system is converting from a deep cycle battery to a phosphate lithium battery (lifePO4). It seems if you have an older controller (like mine) it is incapable of accepting the new battery parameters as charging lithium batteries profile is a lot different than standard deep cycle batteries. I contacted ACOpower and they have informed me there is a fix to this. First you need the MT-50 remote module and from that using the USER manual setting you then can set the setting you need to make the system work with lithium batteries. ACOpower has informed me that they are sending me out one free of charge to remedy this issue. The newer version of controllers has this issue resolved so you don’t have to manually input your battery parameters. Overall, I would recommend this system as it has worked great for me and the customer service got back to me within 24 hours and is willing to help me resolve my battery issues.

We got this setup for a van conversion and I’m happy to say that it works wonderfully! It was very easy to install and we are generating plenty of power.
About 6 months after we received it, the solar charge controller screen stopped working. It is very possible that this was user error when we had to disconnect it and reconnect it for something. I was completely prepared to have to buy a new one. I reached out to the company and when I called I got a voicemail message. I hung up the first time and then later I called back and left a message. As I hung up the phone from leaving my message I was completely convinced that I would never hear from anybody and that I just had to start shopping for a replacement. I was actually scrolling through Amazon for a replacement when I got a call back about 30 minutes after I had left the initial message. The gentleman that I spoke with was extremely helpful. He arranged to send me a replacement and paid postage to send back the damaged one. I got it within a couple days. Great customer service!!!

I’ve ordered three of these kits. It of 24 panels, one was shattered. The company for the replacement out with no issues, and delivery (for me in AZ, these shipped from California) was faster than expected. Also, I had a charge controller go out to unknown reasons, and they sent a replacement right away, asking with a return label to send it back. I did not need to send the broken panel back. So customer service was better than I could have expected.
The kit is user friendly, and priced well for what it is, as far as I can tell. The battery people told me to expect one of these kits to charge two 300 amp batteries in 3 days. Knowing my sun conditions,I planned for one battery per day, but this kit will fully charge both of my batteries in one day. This could be because we took the Will Prowse approach to connecting the panels in order to maximize output. And I get excellent sun exposure. Still, if you aren’t completely comfortable seeing up an entire door system on your own, I can easily recommend this kit. The value is pretty good for what you get, the instructions and support are good, ease of set up, and how the company handles issues all mean that I’m likely to buy again when it’s time to expand upon my system and would recommend them to others.

I’ve bought two of these 100w crystalline panels now. They are well built and one of them survived a corner hit that gouged the packaging during shipping without breaking(phew!). Output is as advertised and they aren’t picky about a shadow here and there. Make sure you buy a charge controller when you use these as the regulator will really help get the most out of them. Also, make sure you get a big enough controller as you will likely get more once you get into them.

I bought the system in October of 2020. I could not be happier with their solar panels and the 40A MPPT solar charger. In fact, I needed more solar panels and bought some other brand because it was cheaper. Turned out they were badly designed. They did not pull the kind of wattage I was getting from the ACOPOWER panels, and if it was cloudy, the wattage dropped drastically. So I returned those panels and bought ACOPOWERS panels instead. Watt for watt it was worth it to pay the $10 extra.
2 weeks ago I moved my panel arrays and charger. When I tried to reconnect the wires back to the terminals of the MPPT solar charger, one of the connectors had frozen in place and won’t clamp down on the wire. Fortunately, I was able to get the exact same MPPT replaced at no charge to me. The MPPT has solid performance and the LCD panel displays everything you need to know – amps, voltage, temperature of both battery and the solar panels rate of charge.
