This product worked well the first time I put it in the water. I notice it doesn’t work constantly. It goes on and off. Might be the solar/sun. It was easy to set up. Looks nice. Floats around my pond all day.

I really want to love this solar fountain. It works really well, however, no matter which nozzle I use, the fountain is too powerful and the water spouts up and goes beyond the birdbath so it drains in no time. Drains even faster if there is even a small breeze. Disappointed!
Needs to have about 50% less power so that the water only reaches 6 to 8 inches in the air. I need to find something with a little less power. Will be returning.
Would work really well for a pond or a very large birdbath. Still 4 stars because it does work well. That said the suction cups are useless.

EDIT: Seller offered me $25 to delete this review. Note: Since that edit, seller has made ten more requests to delete, and upped the offer to $50.
I purchased this fountain for my birdbath. This particular solar fountain’s selling point is the solar battery, which, according to the manufacturer, allows it to “work continuously, even when the sunlight is weak” and “even on cloudy days or at night.” An improvement on the cheaper models, to be sure! It worked right out of the box and I was delighted. Within a couple of hours, a hummingbird was flitting through the spray. Lovely! The next morning, it wasn’t working, despite being in sunlight. I figured that the battery needed charging after being in the box for however long. After several hours in full sun, it started working. Yay! It stopped working as soon as the sun stopped hitting the fountain, even though the rest of the birdbath was stil in the sun. Boo. That was its best day. It never worked at night, on cloudy days, or even in weak sunlight. It never worked when a cloud passed over. I cleaned the pump. I changed the water. Nothing helped. Each day, 3-4 hours of direct sunlight was required before it would so much as burble. Eventually, it barely even burbled.
I didn’t receive all the different spray attachments and risers. Some were duplicates. However, I was happy with the ones I did receive and didn’t feel like more were needed.
In addition, the suction cups were worthless. Rocks were needed to keep it in place.
I almost gave this two stars, because the fountain was pretty when it did work. Mostly, though, it didn’t work. Returned.

Before buying, I checked out all the complaints and was concerned that only half of the ratings were 5 star.
I was not expecting too much right out of the box because it was a cloudy evening just after sunset and the yard was shaded by a big tree. It started as soon as I put it into the birdbath and continued operating for the next couple of hours until total darkness. I attributed this to the battery.
The next morning at five o’clock in the dark gray of predawn, barely light out, there it was pumping away. This scenario continued everyday since.
Apparently, in this latest model, the solar cells are extremely sensitive to any kind of light. The back yard only has direct sunlight between 7 AM and 2 PM then shaded the rest of the day. But the pump works from predawn to post dusk.
The wind will drain the bird bath in short order, but all you have to do is put on a less aggressive nozzle.
Cleaning is very simple but I had to check some videos how to disassemble it to clean it. They should have included this in the printed instructions.
I was amazed at the power of this very small pump and the simplicity of it’s design. The impeller is actually a very small powerful magnet. After 3 days it had to be cleaned and surprised how dirty the water got from the birds. The water should be changed every morning so you don’t have to clean the pump every few days.
The suction cups on the bottom are useless in my birdbath. They are best suited for very smooth and flat glass bottomed birdbaths. I used some decorative rocks to keep the pump centered in the birdbath.
Overall I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the simple operation and efficiency of this pump.

This is a fantastic product. I bought it for a created pond in my front yard and it floats well it has great section and produces reasonably high water from the fountain. It doesn’t even need full sun to work extremely well. It will work and cloudy conditions or with limited direct sunlight. I tried to buy a few more like this and they were unfortunately sold out. (I bought a different version that is much, much inferior and hope to replace them with more of these)

We purchased this at the end of June. Three months later it is no longer working and I am unable to return for a refund. Buyer beware. It was great whilst it was working

This thing is SMALL. It maybe shoots water 2 inches 2 and a half if you use the extension pieces provided. I did get about 4 inches when I used the shower nozzle provided. However, in full sunlight, it only ran for about 2 hours. In my honest opinion, it’s useless.
On a more optimistic note. The idea is great, the attempt is just not. Maybe my expectations were a little too high

The item was how described. The delivery time was within the quoted period. The small integrated solar system works well and provides the water flow expected.

I want to set up a little bird bath in the backyard for the summer day. Wanted something that is small with no maintenance and no wires. So a solar power setup fits the bill, this one even have a battery backup so runs on sunny and cloudy day.
It is easy to setup. I was trying it indoor for the first few days with east facing window. However, it wasn’t work. I though I got a bad unit, but I though to myself maybe try it outdoor first. Than it worked like a charm. So if you think it is not working, try to place under direct sunlight to see if it work.

This has been by far the longest lasting and consistent bird bath fountain we have purchased. The included battery ensures the fountain continues running even when a cloud passes by. This has been running for two years straight. Others we have purchased die within 3-4 months. The complaints I see are mostly from people who don’t understand how solar fountains work. If it sprays too high enabling wind to blow water out of your birdbath, simply slightly enlarge the hols in the sprayer. This lowers the pressure and height of the fountain spray.

Immediately started as soon as I placed in water. Simple to change the settings if you want a different spray. For me it works on a cloudy day, doesn’t necessarily need to be sunny and bright out. Exceeds my expectations, love it.

I bought this last summer and placed in a platter sized bowl on the deck. Liked the variety of nozzles but settled on the one that gurgles and doesn’t shoot too far b/c my contained was too small to keep the sprays inside.
But this winter I found out how good it really is. It was under 8″ of snow and freezing weather for a couple of days and when I dug it out and put it in water it immediately started working…..solar power through the snow. I’ve used it every day this week….even in sub-zero temps and it runs all day giving the birds a constant source of water. I bring it in at night and put it out again early morning. I’m just amazed that it works so well after being frozen multiple times this winter.
Also, I went on youtube when it stopped working at the end of the summer and learned how to disassemble and clean it. Problem solved.
