I use this small panel to keep a car battery charged at all times at our cabin/camp, for when power goes down.
Works as advertised, and the provided mounting hardware os solid.
I only wish the clamps were easily swappable for terminal tabs instead, but it’s really no big deal.

Got this today. Seems to be made well, no issues with shipping. I got it at around 4:30pm Michigan time, put it on the kitchen table and hooked up a volt meter to the clips and the meter showed the putting our around 4volts, took it next to a window, went up to around 14, went outside and got around 22. May not put out the 24 that it’s rated for, but this leads me to believe that I will have no problems getting that when it’s sunny out.
Wire quality seems pretty good. If there are any issues going forward or if I learn anything new about this, I will try to update this review.

I use this to power a security (Trail) camera that takes many pictures a day. Its bigger than necessary but being amorphous, the camera never looses power even after several cloudy days in winter. I expect it will still be enough power as it looses efficiency in a few years. I use the screw holes in the back for mounting on plywood and its solid as a rock. I bought another for a spare.

Works just like my other one keeps rv battery charged fine

I connected this 7W panel to a size 27 deep cycle using a cheap shumacher charge controller. At first it didn’t show a charge so I had to put the panel outside in the sun to get it to show charging. The controller was between 8 and 9V DC when placed in a window and jumped to 13.5V DC when the panel was moved outside facing the sun.
The 12.6×15.7 panel is glass inside a good aluminum frame and has 2 rods for angle braces and 4 plates for flat mounting. The battery clamp is low end and has a direct 6′ wire to the panel. At first I thought the glass was broken in the box but it was the metal parts rattling against it. I gave it 4 stars because of the poor packaging and the fact that it didn’t charge from inside a window in low light.

I have three of these to keep 12V batteries charged on various low use machines (boat, generator, lawn tractor, plow car). I wired a diode in series to protect the panel from the battery at night (not sure this is necessary). These things survive rain, snow, and all the insults of NH winters. Puts out about half an amp in full sun.

It provides instant power as soon as sunlight touches it. I am currently using it in a south facing window because I am too lazy to install it outside. It gets hot enough so I am pretty sure it will be fine in our mild Canadian winters. The battery clips and blocking diode are a nice touch.

Showed up on time. It works. I’m not impressed with the soldering that connects the clamps to the wires. Not very sturdy. Otherwise, good to go.

Giving this 3 Stars.. for now – might go higher or lower later. Lost one star for not being the same as the photo on the product page. This panel has a metal frame, not plastic. And there isn’t a modular style cable. Actually this panel may be more heavy duty built than the plastic one.
Lost another Star because it was an obvious returned unit. Package had been opened and all the parts that should have been bagged were loose. The bags were all ripped open.
Still for the price I’m not going to complain – if it works. Haven’t had a chance yet to test it out. Will be doing that soon. Will add to this review whem I do.
Tested this in full Texas sunshine with a volt meter.. No load.. Was getting 23.5 Volts.. Haven’t checked the current yet.

Produces good power even in overcast conditions. Did the tongue test to see that it was working, I got a charge as well as the battery.

Good product, fast ship. keeps my tractor battery up at all times. Like the battery clamps that come with solar cell. Three days in the sun and my dead car battery came to life to start another day. I have two of these and both are great to have when no ac is available.

In direct, bright sunlight I can get almost 5 watts and the blocking diode leaked. The panel is big for its claimed output and even bigger for its actual output. But, it was easy enough to add a small diode and the battery clamps make it easy to clip it to my lawn mower so maybe I can get another season out of the battery.
