eco worthy has a video on setting up solar panel and battery installation. just search the videos on amazon. pretty easy set up and install.the modulator and inverter are great backup to power outage. i have maxed out at 28.9 coming in from my panels. I put quick disconnects on the panel so that i can disconnect solar panels from controller at anytime without having to unscrew them all the time. My bluetti solar generator plugs into the inverter and that gives me multiple outlets to use during power outage and another battery pack that can be charged by the solar panels.the bluetti comes with multiple charge setups as well. if you have a gas or propane generator you could use that to charge bluetti at night time and switch over to solar panels during daylight hours. Eco-worthy comes with larger units. but if you are going for whole house set up i would get a generac battery pack to connect the whole house set up to. Then you have the option to connect directly to your house electrical panel. You would need a qualified electrician to do all of that. This set up that i have is a quick backup set up . one other thing. by time you connect your panels up on the roof and send your leads down to the panel. your red positive lead actually becomes your negative and your black negative lead becomes your positive. if you look at my pictures on the quick disconnects you will notice that i switched them back to the proper colors with my disconnect leads coming off of the control panel. the reason this ends up getting crossed up is because the wire leads that comes with the set up are standard leads. you can buy quick disconnects and wire them yourself but thats extra work.watch the video that eco-worthy has and look at the pictures and you will see it is very easy to set up.

The kit has everything that it says in description. Packaging for panels was damaged on arrival. Contacted seller they responded quickly with questions and test. Small dent in frame that will not affect performance. Install was fairly easy. I used unistruts then used the supplied brackets to mount to unistrut. Only issue was they show note that extension cables from panel to combiner are needed to be purchased based on your needed length.

Received kit in 6 different deliveries. The installation manuals are poorly written and provide a minimum amount of help t best. Tech support is non-existent. The panels work well, control panel works well, Battery does not function as promised and is a horrible product. I do not recommend this solar kit or any products from this company for that matter.

Purchased the ECO Worthy 1.6KWH Solar Panel Kit for an off-grid project. Parts arrived at various times over the course of three weeks. Some wiring required and the company website had videos to assist in the connections. Upon wiring the panels to the controller in serial, controller was managing power from panels to charge the batteries. Batteries were wired parallel producing 24V. When inverter was connected to batteries, LEDs can on, fans came on and then it popped, smoked and failed. Sent customer service a couple of emails requesting new inverter – no response. On the third try I chatted on line with the company representative, who gathered data on the panel set-up and battery configuration. While panels were working fine in serial configuration, company representative stated I should change to parallel using Y- cables. Upon making the changes in the panel configuration, I connected to the controller heard another pop with smoke. In summary, instructions are contradictory, website provides little assistance, panel system returned. Not a good introduction to solar technologies. If new to solar, recommend finding another company.

Mounted this kit on the roof of my shed, its enough to charge the batteries for all my tools, powers a 5ft long led light, and a small heater for a short while (until the battery dies). Easily scalable with added battery capacity and panels. As other reviews have said, the cables come with the mc4 connector at one end, and is left for you to add your own connector choice at the other end. Theres plenty of cable, I received just enough to connect the panel to the 20a charge controller, and from the inverter to the battery. Couldn’t ask for more. Time will tell how efficient the panel is on the short dull winter days, but I expect it will be in line with industry averages. 100% I would buy again.

With 6 panels these should be at least 5 each of the “Y” connector wiring harnesses. They shipped 2 each. I will need to purchase more to properly wire the six panels in series. I will not buy them from Eco-Worthy. Disappointing thus far, and I cant even start the installation process.
