Robin Robertson Stancik –
I know many people like to put down Jackery as being too expensive for what you get. However, the ease and practicality of the Jackery line is perfect for people like me. I am not an engineer and my mind doesn’t work like an engineer’s mind. I am an elementary school teacher, and a single grandmother who likes to take my grandson camping. I like having an emergency power supply for camping and home power outages without having to be stressed about whether or not I am going to be able to figure out how to use it.
The Jackery products are so simple to use and the instructions are easy to follow. I like the wheels and adjustable handle for pulling the generator. I do feel that Jackery should have made a way to attach the supplimental battery to the top of it to help with moving it. The battery is almost as heavy as the generator, so really, it needs wheels, too. To add insult to injury, you can’t put it on top of the generator to roll them together because it slides around too much and will fall right off. That problem really needs to be addressed. The battery is just too unweildy and heavy. They could have made the generator just a tiny bit bigger and put a ridge around the edge for the battery to fit into and added a strap with a buckle for extra safety. Or maybe they could have created a kind of dolly system where the components could be stacked somehow. It is a simple fix. The solar panels are heavy, but they have a good, efficient handle, and I am capable of lugging them around. Jackery could have added small removable wheels to these, but I can live without them. It just would have been nice.
All that being said, the Jackery system is very simple to use. It is also nice that you can buy your generator, and add pieces like the supplimental storage batteries and solar panels as you can afford them. It is easier than having to plunk down the cash for everything all at once. The app is nice, too. I know I could have spent less on another system, but I like not having to spend a lot of time and worry studying the basics of solar power and putting everything together myself. I likely also avoided wasting time and money on frustrating and expensive mistakes I would have made as a layperson. This is why I still rate this as a five, overlooking the annoyance of the issues with the supplimental battery being difficult to move.
In conclusion, this is a perfect solution for emergency and supplimental power for people who do not have the time or inclination to learn about the inner workings of solar power but need an efficient and easy to use product.

Wanted something for home use that will be cycled often. I have several batteries I use for camping (2000pro for 1-2 nights, 3000pro plus solar panels for longer trips and a 1000pro for small devices). I do plan on using this (2000plus) for summer camping trips if I take my portable AC with me.
PROS:
-as with all Jackery products its very simple to operate
-LifePO4!
-ability to run 240v with two 2000plus linked together using a Jackery connector
-expandable up to 24kwh!
-massive 3000w inverter
-30amp RV outlet
-Jackery App allows monitoring/controlling of the 2000plus or the 3000pro from any location (away from your home) as long as they are connected to your home Wi-Fi. It will allow for quite charging as well which brings down charge rate from around 1800watts to 750+ watts
-fast charging thru AC or solar panels
-5 year warranty
-built in charger (no more power bricks to carry)
-a couple of 100w PD ports for charging high end laptops
-retractable handle and wheels make it easier move the unit around
Cons:
-The cable to connect the battery pack to the main unit is huge and sticks out ~18 inches. If Jackery is reading this, please come up with an angled connector so the units can be placed closer to the wall!!!
Note:
-Since this is a LifePO4 battery, the app will no longer allow you to use “Battery Saving Mode” option. Charge to 100% or discharge to 0% and it will not damage the battery. Currently only the 3000pro has “Battery Saving Mode” option.
-The battery pack cannot be used as a stand-alone unit as there are no output ports. To charge the battery pack using AC, it must be attached to the 2000plus. However, you can use up to 6 Solar saga 200s to charge this unit without the need to attach to the 2000plus ( there are 2 solar inputs at the back of the battery pack)
-When charging or using the batteries, both the main unit and battery pack charges/discharges at the same time.
Tip:
– Bluetooth and Wi-Fi shuts down after 5 minutes when no connection is detected or if connected device goes out of range from the unit. To turn it back on, simply press AC and DC buttons at the same time for 3 seconds and you will be able to reconnect with the Jackery App.
Overall it’s a solid product that is intended for home use. For the camping crowd, weekend warriors or for folks who does not cycle thru the battery daily I highly recommend the Jackery PRO line because it weighs ~40% less than LifePO4.
