People find it odd when I say that we go camping given that we live off-grid mostly in a forest. I guess that makes our camping closer to a home away from home than most people. That being said we do go occasionally and when we do I make sure we’ve got power. I’ve got a few portable solar options and this has a solid spot in my packing when we go. The 60W output gives a fairly decent reality when it comes to how much charging you’re actually doing. These panels rarely sit at the optimal angle but they do a solid job. This set from JustNow is light weight, the backing on the panels is fairly rigid and I appreciate that it feels solid when I’m using it just like the plastic molded handles. The DC barrel jack plug is handy for keeping our solar generators topped off and running during the day. While I do have stronger panels that can do this what I appreciate is the versitility that this offers they don’t – the USB ports. My 100W portable panels only have a barrel jack or MC4 connectors. So being able to just plug in 3 USB devices straight into the panel is really handy for times when we don’t have the little generator with us or didn’t bring it at all. We can just spread the panel out and plug our devices right in to charge up. This also means this panel gets to pull double duty by being our charging station out in the yard when we are relaxing outdoors. We can set up under the edge of the trees, put the panel out just beyond in the edge of the sun and keep our devices topped up with 10ft USB cables. So outside of the panels keeping our house going this is my most used solar panel setup and I’d recommend it to others.

This is a great product. I will be taking it to a location this summer where I will be without electricity for a month. I purchased the solar panel to provide power for smart phones, iPads and my laptop. Since it arrived, I have been testing it. Under full sun, it charges everything well. The size of the 60watt version just fits in our large suitcase which is important since we will be taking air travel. It is also quite rugged, which is good.
While the panel comes with ten different connectors, I ran into a problem. There was no connector that fit my Dell laptop. Customer Support was very understanding and offered to refund any cost that I would incur in finding a connector that fit. We corresponded back and forth by email. They were very quick in responding. I did locate the right connector in a larger collection. As soon as I received it and checked for a fit, I let them know. They immediately provided me a refund through Amazon. Under a clear sky this morning, I was able to charge my laptop directly.
I am very pleased and look forward to using it successfully–assuming, of course, that the weather cooperates 😉 However, I am not too concerned about that.

Bought the solar panels because they said 100 watts. And they get 68 on a 100 percent sun. Go figure a company lie about what they can do my 60 watt panels get more.

This solar panel definitely collects enough juice to run my smaller electronic gadgets and probably much more. I first tested it on a partially cloudy day well into the afternoon, so not max power conditions. I tested the barrel connector with my multimeter, and the voltage output was 22.4-22.5 V. I am guessing it would have been closer to 24 V with more sunlight. I did not test for max current, but I did plug my smart phone into the USB-A port, and it began to fast charge immediately. So I was getting at least 2.4 A from the USB port (5 V).
The panel folds in two, bringing the handle holes together, and the support struts fold down and snap to the backs of the panels. I wish there were some kind of built-in cable holder. I used a twist tie to both secure the panels in their folded configuration and to tie the wrapped cable on via the grommet holes at the handle ends. The barrel connector adapters can be tucked in somewhere, but it would have been nice to have a little pocket or pouch for that.
Overall, great solar panels for camping or emergencies. Just make sure you find a way to keep all the parts together.

This item was purchased for use when camping or beach going. It’s nice to have some portable power when there is no shore power. This item work both in direct sun and during overcast. It is not waterproof so don’t plan to leave it outside. It is also heaver then I expected it to be so using it at the beach is quite cumbersome compared to just taking a small charge block. There is also no clasp to keep it closed when carrying. The thing just flops open all the time, even when storing. That might be a design flaw that can be corrected later by the company producing it. All in all, it too large to be really useful for simple travel (beach, party, etc..) but useful stationary like Camping, just don’t get it wet.

I was happy to get this solar panel and wanted to try to charge my power station to see how it worked and after purchasing a c to c fast charge cable I gave it a try and panel charged my power station in about 5 hours which I thought good.

This solar panel came with several adapter ends to plug into items to charge. The panels are huge. Fold in half to protect the face and has a great handle.
