Description
- UPGRADE 1.4W SOLAR POWERED: The solar birdbath fountain only needs 3 seconds to operate automatically in direct sun, with a spray height of 50-70cm. No electricity or battery needed. The most important this will attract a lot of hummingbirds to your garden! (Solar fountains does not store energy, may not work on cloudy days, please make sure the product is used in direct sunlight, and it is recommended to use it in clean water, which will prolong the life of the product).
- KEEPING THE PUMP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIRD BATH: Our company has designed a retainer to avoid the random movement of the solar fountain pump. It prevents the solar powered water fountain from spraying water outside the bath and empties water quickly. No more wasting time on filling water.
- SPRAYER FOR DIFFERENT WATER STYLE: The package comes with 6 nozzles, which allows you to choose different water fountain patterns easily, adding much fun into your garden.
- EASY TO USE: Just put in the water, the pump will start to work in 3s once exposed to sufficient sunlight, perfect for bird bath, fish tank, small pond, pool, garden decoration, water circulation for oxygen.
- USE ADVICE: Make sure to use the solar fountain in clean water and under direct sunlight, a larger birdbath is recommended to prevent splashing out of the birdbath. If there is any problem with the product, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to provide you with after-sales service.

I chose a fountain head and plunked this thing into my birdbath – there is plenty of sun in my yard so it started working immediately. I bought this instead of a plug-in fountain because I don’t have an outlet near enough to where I wanted it to go. This little thing does not disappoint – don’t worry because it’s cheap, it does what it’s supposed to do and I’m thrilled with the purchase. I would recommend this to a friend.
Note: it will stop working when the sun goes down or if it’s cloudy. Don’t freak out.

This simple solar fountain works much better than anticipated. Although it is exceedingly simple to assemble and operate out of the box, I can only give it 4 stars for two main reasons:
1.) It’s very sensitive to the amount of solar light it receives and will not operate if even a touch of a shadow crosses a portion of the panels.
2.) It’s prone to user error, especially in the application I had intended it for
I wanted a shallow bird bath for my front yard to prevent the local birds from pecking and nibbling my cacti for moisture, so I set up a small pan with this Mademax solar fountain inside. When I first ran it I used one of the attached fountain nozzles but this caused too much water to spray out of the pan and the fountain ran dry very quickly. I then removed all attachments and the resulting stream was fine in that it landed on the black solar panels and was contained within the pan, but I could see how a strong gust of wind could blow water out. I then attached just the funnel shaped “connecting pipe” and placed a marble inside of it which limited the outflow to a trickle and that was just perfect! Quite frankly I wasn’t expecting much of this item but it certainly has lent my yard some nice ambience and was super easy to set up. I would recommend that you use this in a deeper vessel than I have it in (or just be super vigilant about the water depth) and that you experiment with all the nozzles and connectors until you get what you need. I live in Arizona so we get abundant sun, but I can see how those who live in cloudier areas might not be happy with the solar fountain’s extreme light sensitivity. Four stars from me, but I can easily see how the aforementioned might give this only two or three stars.

This is an updated review. The company saw my disappointing review and offered me a full refund! I’m super impressed and might buy another. Maybe mine was a lemon.

I have 5 solar fountains and none compares to this one!
It comes with 3 extra sponges.
It has the usual sprinkler heads for your choosing.
My favorite bit is the straws. Other solar fountains come with straws, but these folks took it a step further by making them adjustable. I put it in a small birdbath. The straws keep the fountain centered. Sometimes the straws are too long and can’t be used at all.
This is what I call intelligent design! See picture.
This is the fountain I will purchase from here on out.
Highly recommend!

This is a nifty little fountain, except that we can only use it in a very limited way with the two WiwiIron Bird Baths for Outdoors Heavy Duty, 38.5 we bought at the same time through Amazon (they are excellent). With the flow meter set at absolute minimum and with all but one of the nozzles provided, the fountain eventually sprays the water over the side and out of the bath. This afternoon both birdbaths fully watered up to the internal rim, fountains fully centered in the bowl and set on minimum flow through the least elaborate upward spraying nozzle were emptied dry within 45 minutes, helped along by the occasional breeze. The power of the fountain seems to be influenced by the amount of sunlight, and in the full sun the height of the fountain was sending water on to the ground. I cannot be refiling these baths every 45:00. A problem seems to be that the flow regulator, even set at its bottom click, doesn’t really regulate the flow, especially when the sun becomes especially bright, giving energy to send the pumping very high into the air.
I’ve attached a picture of the only way we are able to use these fountains in the accompanying birdbaths. The flow meter is at the bottom click and the nozzle sends the water our sideways in an arc that lands well within the bath. Even setting the flow meter one notch up can send the water to the edges and the ground, esp. in bright sunlight.
I’ll be happy to hear a solution from Mademax and edit this post to reflect a solution. It is otherwise a clever and well-functioning fountain, but it needs to be calmed down before I can use it in a standard application.

A great addition to our feeding zone. It has helped attrack several more species. It took a couple of weeks for the birds to accept the fountain, but now it all just fun. We put the fountain on the lowest setting to encourage the birds to bathe and reduce the spillage.
We had hummingbirds hovering over the fountain at a higher setting and having a tummy bath; pretty funny. They still use the fountain at the lower setting which is either a “burble'” or a low fountain.

Very powerful solar fountain. Very easy to set up. Sunlight falling over panels is must.

It’s a great buy if you only need it to work for one month. The installation is easy and it’s very beautiful to have in the garden. But it only lasted for 32 days (to be exact).

I have had this for about a year and I am still happy with it. Mine came with little poles that attach to the sides to keep the fountain centered in the bird bath basin which is a nice feature. The movement of water keeps our bird bath water from becoming stagnant and looks really nice from a distance. We have a concrete bird bath so the suction cups on the fountain are pretty much useless. You do need to check the filter on a regular basis if you get a lot of debris, like leaves, etc…, in your fountain to make sure it is not clogged. I like the interchangeable heads which allow you to decide what your fountain stream looks like. This has no battery so it only functions when it gets direct sunlight. I bought this to replace one that I had for 5 years before it broke and I am hoping this one lasts as long.

Me gustó mucho, llegó a tiempo y funciona muy bien. El único problema es que absorbe el agua.

This works well, but only in direct sunlight. Looks nice in the bird bath, but only when the sun is out and shining directly on it. It doesn’t work in my pond, which is shady most of the day.
Chris –
When the sun shines directly on the fountain, it works perfectly. As the sun passes over my house, it spirts which is okay with me.
I took the close-up picture at 2:30 p.m. here in Florida. Look how high the water is shooting up!
The support arms do their best to keep the fountain centered in the bowl. Great idea!
Bottom line: I am very happy with the little solar fountain…=)
