Suction cups don’t fit on the panel and it is very slow to charge a battery.

My pickup truck doesn’t get much use these days, but the electronics continue to run while the truck sits idle. Hence the need for a trickle charger to keep the battery up to snuff. This is not the charger to do the job. I saw no difference between the state of the battery sitting for several weeks with or without this charger attached. Using a multimeter I was able to confirm that what little current the charger puts out was traveling from the “always live” charging port in the truck to the battery. However, the charger amperage was so weak that the small drain from the “always on” electronics all cars have today was greater than what this charger was able to produce. Back to HF or some other option that produces better amperage.

It was as I expected it to be.

Decent for my needs.
We do a lot of dry camping and often are gone for a week or two at a time. When we’re camping, we don’t usually go anywhere as we bring all our camping and food supplies with us. I wanted to be able to maintain the truck battery while it’s sitting out in the middle of nowhere for a few days. Generally it isn’t a problem, but we do a good amount of camping into the late fall when temps can dip pretty low. I got this just as a safety measure to help ensure the vehicle will start. Overall I’m happy with it and it’s really simple to use. It’s worth it in my opinion as a safeguard against being stranded somewhere.

Keep your battery topped of or keep it from being damaged in long term storage. Lead batteries don’t like being fully discharged it can damage them and they slowly lose charge over time so hook this up to them to keep them fit and ready to go back into service when the time comes. Worth the money if it saves you from having to buy a new battery when you pull the RV out of storage. Nothing feels like having that farm truck that sat all winter crank right up in the spring rather than towing it to the barn and hooking it up to the charger and crossing your fingers that the battery ain’t kaput. Suction cups right into the window and plugs directly to the battery terminals or into the cigarette lighter plug but if you use the cigarette lighter plug make sure it’s an open circuit type.

I used this solar panel to charge battery. The charge is quick and battery is durable. I like that it used solar so I can save electricity bill. Good value of money for this panel.

Charging has helped keep the car battery charged and takes twice as long before it struggles to turn over, so it definitely works (with sun). Having a truck, I probably could have gone with larger panel, but it works for my needs.
1) the corner has bent slightly over a short amount of usage (days), so no it remains curved instead of flat, but that does not seem to have impacted usage.
2) control unit/wire comes out of middle of back and would be nicer to be nearer to an edge so I don’t have to wrap wire around the sunshade as much.
