I was trying to make an small foundation for the birds an hummers. My mother that has dementia loves to watch them from the window.
This foundation works good. But it sprays water great when full. But, water evaporates quickly causing due to it flowing out of the diameters of the bird bath or anything else you place it in. It works fine other than spitting the water too far. I tired each tip that came with it to change the flow. But each one of them did the same all but the one that bubbled up in the middle. But, this one mom couldn’t see as well. Once water went way down, the solar panel being on top constantly ran until either sun went down or we would go out N turn it over. I would say it probably would do better in an small swimming pool instead. We may try that next year.
I would still recommend this solar fountain. We will work with it more next year. Will just put it in the house an back in box where it will stop running, lol

I have used these little solar fountains for years in shallow bowls in the garden. They often stop working, even after I clean them out. This one is different, though. It has 4 small plastic tubes about 4 inches in length that insert into little plastic clips you put on the underside of the fountain. They are ingenious and keep the fountain in place, in a fixed position, without floating all around.
The reason why this matters is that in a small or shallow bowl setup, if the bubbler is floating around with the spray which goes up around 10 inches, a lot of water falls outside the bowl and before you know it, the water level is too low and the bubbler is trying to run without enough water, probably contributing to its demise. I used to keep river rocks in the fountain to keep the bubbler from floating away from the center, but the rocks took up space and I enjoy watching birds bathe in the bowl.
This bubbler gives you a bunch of different spray options, but by using none at all, it truly is a “bubbler” instead of a tall spray. Again, this lessens the amount of water lost outside the bowl but still proves irresistible to birds.
I just hope this one doesn’t clog up. I try to keep water as clean as possible, but small bits of debris invariably float around in there.

This is the third solar pump purchased for our concrete birdbath. This one is the best performer by far and was the cheapest!. When the sky just begins to turn gray at dawn this begins to pump and continues until full dark. Very impressive considering its small size and lack of any storage capacity. The clear rods keep the pump in the center of the birdbath. Great value

Works as expected. Note that if your birdbath is in the shade, or if it is cloudy, it will not work well. Other than that it does produce a nice fountain, and no need to worry about batteries!

It is cute and does the work. One cannot complaint about the price, and if it last one spring and summer, it will be worthy. It comes with different nozzles, find the one that suits you more. It works better in a deeper container but not too deep to hide the view. Birds like it 🐦

I like the options the sprinkler comes with. So far it’s working good but there are a few cons. Unlike other solar products I have as soon as this hits shade it shuts off so it only works in direct sun and doesn’t maintain a charge. I didn’t like the spider like arms it came with because it didn’t keep the fountain centered so it would always float off centered and would shoot water out of the fountain and I’d have to fill it twice a day. I alleviated that issue by tying sinkers with fishing line underneath the fountain and it keeps it in the middle now. Unfortunately I haven’t had a bird bathe in it since I put this in! Overall it’s a nice concept but I wouldn’t buy it again.

This works exactly as it should…only in bright sunlight, as the directions state. You definitely need to put it in deep water, not a tray or shallow bird bath because if it’s windy, the water will go everywhere and you will run out of water quickly. I recommend a 10-12 inch flower pot or a 12 inch succulent bowl. I actually ordered two different brands, however they are very similar and the packaging was the same. Both work well. I’m writing this review, then ordering more!

I wish it held the charge but it only works in sunlight. For less than $10 it was a good buy with several fountain options that are easy to switch out. The stabilizers keep it mostly centered which is a good feature. I recommend to use the short spray spout on windy days or your birdbath will empty out in no time from the water blowing out as it sprays high.
