The solar panels are sealed with a waterproof ETFE exterior layer that improves performance and durability, extends the panel’s lifespan and requires far less maintenance when compared to the exterior construction used by most portable solar chargers. The USB ports are waterproof rated IP67 – the junction box’s PCB is coated with a waterproof seal and silicone bonded to the panel.

The ETFE construction is highly efficient, with a UV permeability of 95% compared to 80% from standard PET construction.
