First off, for anyone wondering these are not the same panels as the 170 watt ones in the kit. They are very similar but not the exact same in a few different ways. They are easy to connect, do your research but you almost can’t hook these up wrong. They are a good value for the money, especially for those of use who don’t have the budget to order a whole pallet at a time. The size seems to be a little bigger than the standard 100 watt panels, but not too large thar you can’t handle them by yourself. Seems to be very durable, however the plastic corners often get broken off during shipping. Would be awesome to see a pack of replacements from the manufacturer. I haven’t researched these vs other panels admittedly, but seems to be pretty efficient. Two panels hooked up to a 1100 watt inverter and an upgraded solar charge controller will run 150 watts or so almost all day and night hooked up to two 12 v batteries (largest AGM from Bass Pro). I’ve ran TV’s and wifi, grill, fans, ect…obviously depends on your setup but will charge your solar batteries and do what is needed for a good battery life.

I was a little Leary of buying this. I mounted it on top of my motorhome. It works great. Keeps my batteries charged up full when I do not use the coach. Still maintains the batteries on cloudy days.

The panels are well made and work great. Easy to install and easy to charge.

I Made the mistake of not testing this till after the 30 day prime return window closed. On the initial use it too almost 2 hours in direct sunlight to start charging above 4 watts. Once it did start I could never get above 80 watts with no obstructions on a 100 watt panel, angled toward the sun and in 100% direct sunlight. At 80 watts max charge it immediately dropped to 30 when just the shadow of my hand passed over it. With an 8”x8” cloth on the corner it dropped all the way to 3 watts (basically not charging).
When I contacted support they asked for videos but won’t accept the video type from my IPhone and have a small file size limit. I asked for an email address to send the videos to and was ignored. When I questioned the max 80% charge and the fact that a shadow on a very small part of the panel renders it useless they just gave me a stock response saying the efficiency depends on the amount of sunlight.
Just so you understand, it was a cloudless sunny day in southern Nevada in the open so you don’t get much more sun than that.
I had planned to add a second panel and now will end up buying 2 from someone else.
If you choose to buy this brand, TEST IT THE DAY IT ARRIVES so you have time to return it if you have the same poor performance I got. The customer service is terrible and useless.

I already have a kit from HF that I paid to much for mostly because of the convenience. After seeing how it worked I purchased this set. One panel with the same power so it’s way more convenient. And 30a controller vice the 10a I had. The literature says not for lithium battery but the controller has a setting for lithium, go figure. I’m using this with a diy portable solar generator that has a 100ah lifepo4 battery and 1000w pure sine wave inverter for a tertiary power backup. I still have to come up with a better stand for the panel but this was still the best value by far.

I got these because they looked like they would be the perfect panels to add to my EcoFlow Delta 2 system. I already have a 160watt EcoFlow portable panel (which is fantastic, btw), and these two are exactly what I needed to get to 500 watts.
I have them hooked up in parallel (and yes, I know that in series brings in more wattage, but this helps keep everything OK even on the coldest days) and I’m a little underwhelmed at what I’m able to bring in. That said, the panels themselves feel like they are good quality (about 30 pounds each, I’d say) and they have definitely helped bring in more solar.
Without dedicated testing of each panel, I can’t say for sure what they’re really pulling in.. but my gut tells me that each one is closer to 100 watts. Based on the price, that’s kind of what I was assuming when I bought them so I don’t feel that’s a problem.
I did appreciate that they came with everything that I’d need to install them (and a few toys that I don’t use, like the charge controller). It’s a pretty professional operation, and I would buy these again.
So, in short, I think that these are great panels for the money. They DO work, and they feel sturdy enough to stand up to good abuse outside. I’ve had them pull in 50 watts of solar on RAINY days, which is fairly fantastic.

The performance of the solar panels are up to par and I would definitely recommend them the system works as described!
