I have use this portable solar panel for 3 weeks now and so far are very satisfied with it.
I love this new gen…the new design is more compact, it folds back up so nice and tidy and slim.
The panel looks so durable and appears to be built out of quality materials. Quality cables and connectors.
I brought this solar panel and my solar generator system to a 2 day camping one last weekend.
This solar panel was really easy to pack into the car as it folds up into a thin profile. it also has a nice and strong carrying handle, seems to has a long term durability.
I used this to charge portable power station and run a fan, by the end of the day the power station would be charged so I could repeat again that night. Charged during the day, so we could have fun after dark, they both did an awesome job.
Because I don’t have large capacity battery box at this moment so I am only using my small battery box (support 62w input) and able to get 62w from this solar panel on sunny afternoon around 1-2pm, I think that is pretty good!!!
I am sure that this solar panel can provide up to 80-90 watt easy on sunny California afternoon if I have a bigger portable power station. You may get a bit more under really ideal conditions and positioning;
This is no longer my first experience with Twelseven ‘s product, I have no hesitation to recommend its latest product.
Pros:
– Monocrystalline solar panels provide very efficient charging at a consumer-friendly price.
– Panel has mc4 plug(output) and 4 in 1 MC4 connector cable (MC4 to DC5521/DC8, XT60, Anderson) that should cover most of the solar generators port needs.
– Magnetic closure, much easier to fold/unfold and move around.
– I really like the adjustable kickstand – a very nice touch.
– IP67 waterproof let you use these outdoors without any worry.
– 24 months warranty.
– Great customer service answering all my questions about the charging abilities.
– The user manual was very comprehensive and easy to follow along on.
– Great for car camping and glamping.
Overall, a great, durable, portable solar panel for the price.

Update 5-10-23:
The manufacturer contacted me directly and asked if I would give their product another chance. They were aware of the defect and have replaced the 140w panels (the ones I had purchased) with 160w panels that solve what they referred to as the “degumming issue” in the Amazon listing. They sent one to me as a gesture of goodwill that arrived yesterday.
At first glance it appears they have in fact solved the issues, the connectors are now contained in a single box that goes all the way through the panel with reinforcement from the other side. They have also done away with the Velcro for the legs and replaced with snaps.
The panel is taller and wider than the 140w as you might expect, slightly heavier as well. There are also rivets around the perimeter presumably to prevent the panel from separating. It does in fact look like they have significantly improved this product.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to test the performance of the new panel because the voltage output on the single panel is below the minimum needed to charge the 24v system I have in my RV (why I bought 4 panels) I would need a minimum of two to test and I have no intention of paying for another panel (which is now more expensive) based on the track record of the previous ones.
I am going to go ahead and bump my rating from 1 star to 2, since they did fix the product and sent one out, but truthfully, it’s too little too late for me. I am still going to go with another brand and still recommend you consider the same.
Original Review:
At first these seemed like great panels, MC4 connectors provide great flexibility in what you can connect, good power to size ratio, panels themselves feel durable with a nice cloth backing.
Unfortunately, they made a fatal engineering flaw with these. I purchased four of these to use in series/parallel configuration for my RV. After the first use, every one of my panels had at least one loose connector. Seems that whatever glue was used, sitting in the sun all day (as I suppose a solar panel might do) the glue comes undone and the connector box pulls away from the panel. behind it is solid coper connector that any movement will cause it to snap. Simply folding it up to put away after use is too much for these to handle.
After the first panel failed, I talked to Amazon and they replaced it, no issue. But the replacement arrived with one of the connectors also broken off in the box. At that point, I brought the fact that two had failed in the same way to Amazon’s attention. They told me they could not replace it and I would have to talk to the manufacturer. After talking to the manufacturer, they told me to replace it again through Amazon. I had to spend a significant amount of time going back and forth between the two until Amazon finally agreed to replace it.
When I received my replacements replacement, it too was broken out of the box, one loose connector and the other had a wire that was severed and showing the copper through at the base.
Amazon took ownership and refunded. Sadly now the other three panels are starting to fail in the same way!
I have given up on these, they were clearly not manufactured with any kind of longevity in mind and the manufacturer doesn’t seem to want to stand behind their product.
My recommendation is to look elsewhere!

I have purchased both the 100W and 160W solar panels from TWELSEAVAN. They work great with my portable power station and I am extremely pleased with this combo!!
As someone who loves camping, I wanted a reliable outdoor solution for all my electric needs. Whether it be charging my laptop, phone, drone batteries, or a way to power all my camping necessities.
I consistently got around 80 watts of input power in full sun from 100W solar panel, with occasional peaks up to 108 watts of input in perfect conditions. The 160W panel performed just as well, around 130W and has peaked at 170W, pretty good for a 160w panel in my opinion.
The MC4 cable on the panel, along with the included MC4 connector, made it super easy to connect to most solar generators. Connecting the wires was a breeze, and the positive and negative connectors made it almost impossible to mix them up. As a result, I was able to set everything up quickly and start producing power right away. Additionally, the 10-foot cable provided plenty of flexibility in panel placement, so I could keep my portable power station in the shade while still positioning the panels in sunlight. The separate bag for storing the cables is a thoughtful touch.
I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase! The construction of both the panels and the cable is top-notch. They feel super durable and I have no doubt that they’ll last for years to come. If you’re in need of a reliable, high-quality solar panel for your outdoor adventures, I highly recommend giving this product a try.
