In the 2 years I’ve dealt with expert power for my RV
they’ve been absolutely amazing with customer service. They actually answer every time! I didn’t understand pretty much anything when I first ordered the kit which included the Lifepo4 batteries the solar charger the solar panels themselves or the inverter. But they are absolutely amazing I did make a choice that was less than what I needed but it wasn’t because of the company. I didn’t realize I could call them or message to make sure that it could handle the demand I was looking for. But they have been absolutely amazing any question that I’ve asked they still stand by their product. I truly respect them not as a fly by night company. If you’re looking for solar I would highly recommend them and speak to them about what it is you’re looking for. They do have a high quality product.

The instructions were bare minimum.
Absolutely zero customer support!
Two emails provided do not work. (Address not found).
Telephone number send you to voicemail every time…. Voicemail was full every time I tried to call…
Sent to emails no response!
Spoke to Amazon said I would be hearing from the seller… never happened …….
System cost me almost $2,100 and it did not work most expensive part would not even turn on… ( The inverter).
Ended up having to go to the bank and do a stop payment on the whole system…..

I like that it’s the complete deal solar panels 400 watts 2 100ah li batteries and a 3000w inverter that picks up the work when the grid goes down. Need to have over all schematics and 2 4 gauge battery wires to hook those two iron phosphate batteries together with in parallel . Well done expert power.

This was not difficult to install. There are some technical issues that may stump a DIYer without electrical knowledge. Assuming this is an upgrade to your current solar capacity, you may need to use heavier wires than what exists in places. Expert Power is a highly technical company with precise standards (as are most solar equipment companies); RV manufacturers are on the other end of the technical and precision scale. You’re mounting expensive equipment to a rough-shod accumulation of fiberglass, screws, and weatherproof sealant that endures 5-hour earthquakes every time you’re mobile. Expert Power technician, Bryan, was definitely patient with me and helped resolve my issues. I recommend.

Does not come with the MC4 / Y connector to connect the 4 panels together. I do not believe it tells you this in the description.

I’ve had this system about 4 months now The battery stopped taking a full charge I cut my system off every night whenever I use it. it will go days with the panels running and will not take a full charge I have emailed customer service twice asking for a replacement battery They Ask me to send a screenshot of the Bluetooth Digital Read out They’ve asked me to put a Multimeter Own it Just send me my battery so I can replace it please 🙏 And if it cannot run a flat screen TV PlayStation Something is not right With this system So I will be giving this a one star review because of Horrible customer service I received my replacement battery I will probably revise my review

I give ExpertPower 5 stars for great customer support, but only 4 stars for ease-of-installation because of inadequate documentation (contradictions between the various OEM manuals included, and glaring omissions), insufficient cabling to interconnect all components, and the absence of any advice regarding fuses and/or circuit breakers. I started to write a story here, but decided most shoppers just want the bottom line up front, so here it is. ExpertPower appears to have very good products and they have excellent customer service. When I found that the charge controller they included in my kit was a 20A model versus the 30A model described in the literature, they had the correct one on my doorstep within two days. The products appear to be of good quality and, although there are contradictions and obvious shortfalls in the documentation, my electrical engineering background allowed me to fill in the gaps and set everything up. Buyers should be aware that, while it is possible to interconnect and set up this kit and get power out of it, I would not consider the kit complete. For a good, complete, and safe installation, you’re going to need to obtain, at a minimum, proper fuses, circuit breakers, and some additional battery cables (kit came with two batteries but with no way to parallel them without an additional purchase). Unfortunately, none of that is discussed in any of the literature. ExpertPower’s kit are definitely nice, but as system integrators who design a kit using other vendors’ products, they really need to spend some time writing their own comprehensive manual and instruction set and application notes. It doesn’t hurt to have the OEM product manuals in the kit, but they shouldn’t rely on those as the sole source of information.
