This panel is about half the size of a piece of Letter size paper. It’s semi-rigid, but will flex a bit to conform to something like a curved windshield. The flexibility also makes it super durable. The main connector is a 5.5 mm barrel-type power socket. It comes with a pair of aggie clips and a cigarette lighter plug. It’s easy to make your own adapter since it uses a standard sized barrel plug.
It’s really designed for trickle charging an RV battery; at this low output, you can pretty much leave it permanently connected without fear of overcharging. I found that it does put out enough power to charge small devices too, such as smartphones, cameras and stuff that uses a USB charger, although at a slower rate. This would make it a good emergency panel to stick in a backpack.
Maximum measured output current was 190 mA at 12.8 volts while charging an AGM cell. Setting the panel in a fixed optimum noon position (behind a windshield), I measured 850 mAH cumulative during a sunny winter day here at about 33 degrees N. That’s plenty to keep a battery topped up. For charging small devices, I connected a 12v cigarette socket and used an OEM car charger for my smartphone. It charged fine, and actually was fairly speedy. From 0% (completely dead) to 20 percent in 30 minutes, more than enough for an emergency.
In short, nice little panel for either RV trickle charge, or backpack / emergency use.

The panel functions, wiring very light and cheesy…. and unlikely to last very long in any kind of marine environment

I like this product. The solar panel seems to be well made. I have only given it three stars as the output wiring gauge is sized only for the power. As such, it is very small wire and I have concerns about the durability as a result. So, if you purchase this product, be gentle on the leads.
