Description
Nature Power’s Solar Home and RV Power Kit is a complete portable power system delivering up to 1800-Watt of AC power across 4 outlets in the event of power outages or for your portable power needs. In the event of power outages an internal transfer switch ensures that when the rechargeable power supply is plugged into the wall up to four dedicated loads will run without interruption by switching to battery power until the power comes back on. If the power is down for an extended period of time the battery power can be recharged with the solar panel. For portable power the rechargeable power supply can be charged at home and brought on the road to supply power or used as independent power by being permanently installed and recharging solely through the solar panel. The rechargeable power supply comprises of a 60 Amp hour battery, an 1800-Watt MSW inverter, an 8 Amp solar charger, a 5 Amp AC charger and a transfer switch. This unit includes (2) 20-Watt solar panel with enough cabling to allow you to find the best placement possible for the solar panels. The Solar Home and RV Power Kit is modular and can be expanded to allow as many Auxiliary Batteries as required and up to 130-Watt from a solar array per auxiliary battery. CSA C22.2 no 107.3 and UL 1778 approved.

This unit doesn’t store as much power as I expected. I admit I might have had high expectations. The solar panel doesn’t seem to work at all when I use it to charge, even when the solar charging light is blinking green. I hate to say I was disappointed. Apparently this is acceptable for people with lighter and less frequent use than what I needed.

Still on the fence, bought an extra battery but did not install it yet. disappointed by the fact that the main battery loses 40% of its charge within 24 hours wihout drawing any power.

The guide say to run with an 2- 80 watt solar panels. Home Depot’s website says it sends out 2- 40 watts solar panels but you only receive 2- 20 watts solar panels. The machine has been charging for 2 weeks and is still not up to 100% capacity.
