So I wasn’t sure what to expect… some people hated them, some loved it.. I’m wondering if those that hated it just under powered or used the wrong panels all together. Even in the shade on a cloudy day this thing is still pumping out the water like mad. I’ve paired it with 3 450w panels at 149voc max. Working like a dream! Starts pumping at around 9 and doesn’t stop til around 7 right now. I’m floored by how much water comes out of it.
The cons of it.. I had a broken fan on the back of the pump… I’m still waiting for them to get back with me (manufacturer not amazon) and it’s difficult to get them to help… other than that it’s a dc motor so I don’t expect to have to work on it much at all. Highly recommend if you have room for panels and don’t want to increase your electric bill!

When I first received the pump it appeared to be cheaply made and I thought that it would not work. The pump body is made of plastic. But, I connected the pump to two 355 watt panels (connected in series), slipped a 1.5 inch PVC pipe (without glue) just to test the pump. WOW! Even with loose fitting PVC pipe, this pump really works. I now have it permanently connected to a DEV60 Jandy pool filter. Pump runs all day and is SUPER quiet. This pump is quiet and powerful. Although I have it connected to a DE filter and it works just fine, I think a cartridge filter would be a better match for this pump.

This Vevor pool pump is great. I’ve had it running for about three weeks now and it is keeping my pool clean. It is spring approaching summer here in Nevada and the pump runs about 12 hours a day. I would say it runs about 8-9 hours on high speed and low for the remaining. I’ve used the vacuum on high speed and frankly it works better than my old Hayward. The valve has to be split to the bottom intake and the vacuum because it the 1-1/2” inlet on the vacuum wont provide the pump with enough water flow. When I purchased this pump I only bought 1200 watts of solar. This is not correct The 1200 watt 136gpm unit requires two 900 watt in series 72V systems, totaling1800 watts. If it is not set up correctly and your panels provide 72V without the 900 watts you will likely smoke your panels. The system does not require batteries and will adjust the load when the clouds hide the sun. An added benefit is that the motor is so quiet I can not even hear it with the waterfall lightly trickling and for that alone the purchase was worth it. I would suggest that you should probably have some electrical knowledge or find someone that has some to do this install.

So far I’m very impressed with this pump system.
It’s bright and sunny right now and with my 4x320watt panels my pump is running at amazing 65gpm. (I have a flow meter)
Will report back in the near future on this for a update as this is only day 1!
7/27/23 Almost 5 months later I added two more panels and it’s really working good now. Even when there is next to no sun it’s running just not as strong as in full sun.
With my 6 panels this thing starts up around 7am and runs till 7pm…9:30am till 5pm ish it’s running full speed and my pool is so clean…I’m loving it!!!

I have it installed under a pool deck in shade with 3 400w panels wired in series. I have been running it for two days now it’s quite and does a excellent job of circulating water around 8’x20′ pool. Hope it last a long time. Instal is straight forward fit 2″ pipe thought about reducing down on the outlet side for more pressure but have not had a need to.
