Panels work well. Don’t forget to factor in location latitude. My panels are operating at 50% cap because we live north of Mason Dixon line. They do produce power well. Consider doubling capacity if you live north of Tennessee Kentucky line

Generally works well. You should know a couple of things though. I use it with 2 Battleborn LiPO 100 amp in a parallel configuration. First of all, the app is really terrible with many complaints in the reviews in your app store. They never update the app, so it is basically useless. Given that, I would purchase a Victron product next time which is more expensive, but my Victron app is constantly being updated and improved and you can download the update while on the grid and update OFF grid. NOTE: if you use the LOAD function, I found it it pulls .50 amps even when it you have switched off at the appliance. You must switch it off on the controller to get rid of phantom draw! Be aware that you may only get 50% of the watts, so the 40 amp MPPT can easily handle 3 or 4 panels where I live off grid near the Canadian border. Cust service has been accessible for me. Just to reiterate. Do NOT hook up the LOAD wires unless you can live with a ,50 phantom draw in perpetuity. 1st photo is with LOAD off, but wires are still connected/ 2md photo is with a 6W LED connected and switched on and the 3rd photo is with all LOAD wires disconnected. Hope that helps.

Well when I connect all 4 panels the Controller tells me input is over voltage and doesn’t charge. When I unplug 1 panel, and just have 3 aka 600 watts plugged in the Controller works fine. But here it is 1 p.m. and I am unable to pull over 99 w per what the Bluetooth App says.
Edit- I finally got the correct 60 amp solar controler the kit should have came with from the start at a rebated rate, went ahead and added another mega 200 to the order, I am so far satisfied with the 600 watts I was able to use out of my kit, e cited to see what the future holds, will update more as to how the array works to its full potential when it arrives and all set up. Rich solar customer service was very helpful in getting my situation straightened out. It took a tad longer than I would have liked. Partially due to my work schedule and their hours of operation. Would definitely purchase from rich solar again in the future. Planing on getting 2 of thier 48v Alpha 5 batteries, 3000 watt Hybrid Solar Inverter Charger, and 3000 watts more of panels! For off grid know what I mean.

First of all, Rich Solar not only took care of problems with their products, they did it without hesitation. I received replacement items in 3 to 5 days (from CA to TN). Tech support was great! Now the details: I ordered the kit through Amazon. It came in a few days. All looked good but one panel was in a busted box. I found the panel in the box had its glass broken during shipping. I sent some pictures to Rich Solar and they sent a replacement panel. Then I had some surgery, some hospital stay and covid. After 3 months, I decided to check the solar panel outputs. In full sunshine one was 22v but the other was 0v (both no load). I sent Rich Solar pictures showing the problem. I had another replacement panel in 4 days. Now my system is finished with a 2000w inverter and 2 Li-ion 100wh batteries. It functions as a power backup system. I would recommend Rich Solar to anyone.

This setup paired with 2-200 Amp hr lithium batteries powers everything in my bus conversion Rv with plenty of power left over. I added a 2000 watt inverter and can power any of my power tools with no problem in good sun coverage. Installation was very straight forward with detailed instructions Fast shipping high quality charge controller. The app works flawlessly. And tracks generation and usage and has more features than I can explain myself. Panels are high quality and seem very durable. It powers a mini fridge, ice machine, laptop, washing machine,12 volt on demand water pump,8kw diesel heater, for several months now no issues. Absolutely plan on adding more of these in as I make the solar system on my skoolie more robust to power a mini split airconditioner in the future.

“RICH SOLAR 800 Watt 12 Volt 4 Pcs 200W Panel” leads one to believe these are 12 volt 16.66 amp panels. I bought this to hook up to 1000 watt grid tie inverter with 30 volt input limitation. Buyer beware the panels are actually 40.4 volts open and 38 volts under load. I recorded 38 volts and 6.5 amps at peak sunlight today making this a 250 watt panel in my application. I spoke with their tech support that remarked the voltage doesn’t matter because the solar control is more then capable of handling it. I guess that’s fine for someone buying the system to charge batteries without concern or documentation of the specs. I’ve been doing solar for about 10 years now and made half the panels I’ve had from scratch, so I’m used to knowing the exact volts and amps that create my watts and I can size my inverter accordingly. I have never come across a solar controller that required disassembly to attach the wire leads to solar, battery, and load, followed by a reassembly forcing the wires into a tight 90* angle. All that said, I would rather have an over performing panel than a under performing one, and this will not prevent me from purchasing again. This review is for educating anyone considering this kit.

Its a mediocre product for a low price. The panels are fine, but the connectors and cabling are all low end. I accidentally reverse wired my battery connection and fried the controller. It was my fault, but a decent product should be able to protect itself against that. I bought the same unit and it lasted a couple months and then died the night before a 3 month trip. Incredibly frustrating. I said screw it and replaced it with Victron. Its expensive, but it always works and the monitoring features are great. Rich solar just OEM’s random crap from overseas. Victron actually develops and designs their own gear. You get hat you pay for.
