Nice equipment but can’t ell for sure it is charging the battery. Light shines before you hook it up.

We have a pop-up truck camper and our first big trip was boon-docking around 9,000 ft up in Colorado. This little panel kept our RV battery fully-charged over the course of a week–no need for a generator. Our fridge was running off propane, so mainly for lights and heater blower, but had enough juice to run the pop-up top and camper legs. I hooked it up each morning and disconnected it at dusk (and manually moved the panel several times each day). We’ve since used it 3 or 4 others times and it’s still doing great. Panel seems well constructed. The converter seems a bit flimsy but we’ve had zero problems–so there you go!

I had to Jumpstart my garden tractor everyime I used it. Now it fires right up. I couldn’t be more pleased with it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is I haven’t had it long enough to know if will develop any quality / performance issues.

Easy to use and set up (plug and play/use). I bought 2 systems at the same time to help keep my boat batteries charged. The one on the battery that runs my lights, radio and pumps actually keeps the battery charged. I haven’t hooked the charger to that battery since I installed this system about a month ago but that battery doesn’t get pulled down much. The one I put on the trolling motor battery will not recharge it in a reasonable time frame because of the large pull down on the battery. It does give the battery a lot of help handling the draw and strain that gets put on it so even though it would take about a month of no use for it to recharge that battery, I am still happy with the benefits it gives. I am new to solar energy and after running into this, I researched why one battery was being charged but the other battery wasn’t. I learned that even though it is a 20w and 8a that this system will not provide effective charging power to recharge a deeply drained battery and is designed to be used as a maintaining system during the non use period of a battery. Since I am using the system for more than it was intended for and getting decent results, it would have to do an awesome job when used as intended (battery maintaining). If you are looking for a charging system I would recommend looking at no smaller than a 300w system based off what I found in the research I did

I bought two panels after seeing some similar driving through a campground. Went camping last week and both batteries were dead. After hooking these up and put in the sun they were fully charged within a couple hours. They have long cords so they are easy to move around as the sun moves. Never had a problem again with my batteries, they stayed charged 4 days of backwoods camping.

This is great for my application. We have a small garden setup in the back yard, have 4x 55gal rain barrels and a small 12v 55psi water pump. I have a small moped style battery connected and the panel gets about 85% of the daily sun where its located. I have not had to use a 120v charger on the battery, so this panel really does CHARGE the batter vs trickle charge (maintain) the batter. Which it actually does both. I needed the charging function as well.

Don’t waste your money on this. Being connected for a week to a dead battery does not affect it whatsoever.
